Just returned from a two nights trip to Seneca Rocks and stayed in the Couples Retreat. First the good things: cabin was roomy and clean, bed was comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of cooking utensils. Photographs on the walls were beautiful. Now for the bad. Two nights cost me $436.80 which was more than I expected to pay especially after I found out how close the cabin was to the highway. The "view" also includes a rundown old school building with old playground equipment and fencing. Seems the heat pump is not big enough to keep the cabin comfortable and it wasn't that cold outside. There was no firewood for the fireplace and the only two wine glasses were very scratched, worn out plastic. Not someplace I will be returning too.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with reading some of the reviews, but everything was great with the cabin. The cabin was super clean and tidy. As soon as you walked in, it smelled clean. I had packed everything we would have needed pots, utensils, dish cloths/rags, dish soap, but everything was already there! We loved all the Christmas decorations! We are already planning our next visit.

Yokum’s is filled with an incredible group of kind people. Melissa, Betty, Sam, and Luke were incredibly helpful when we needed it most. Relieving us from a serious pinch; they helped us get part of our group unstuck from a snowbank 20 min away, stayed with us hours after closing, and helped us with a place to stay. The cabin was cozy, clean, and the kind family history could be felt. Next time, we will skip the house-booking apps and plan for Yokums first.

we stayed here for a week. We were in room 53. Very nice room. The bed closet to the door. Any movements bed made noise. Probably shouldl Look to fixing that. The outlet by the bed with lights. I got shocked good on one them. For those lights too if you end up turning off the switch on wall. Than outlet-etc don't work. So if you can don't touch the switch by the entrance of the room. Bring your pillows. They are so flat- we had to use 3 of theirs & still not good. So for breakfast- go restaurant (food's good) or bring food/ like muffins etc that works with microwave or toaster. fridge is small- if you are light sleeper- bring earplugs -trucks are loud passing by. Depending on your hotel neighbors you might end up having group outside on the porch late. The door/ when u get in room. The door lock is different / it's one those that it's always unlocked from inside. So if it's locked. Hard to for sure.. cause as soon as you touch the knob/ it unlocks. So I recommend that anytime you are in room. To do chain.. we learn the hard way. One of the other customers accidentally walked in to our room. Not long after getting out of shower. So you know what that means. So embarrassing anytime passing by out on the porch any of the employees that I have might have been nice people.

Stayed for a week in the fall. Very pleased overall. Outstanding view off the deck from the rooms. Wifi worked well- excellent since there is no cell service. Each room has its own little kitchenette. Rooms were clean, very happy with that. The restaurant downstairs offers all day hours each day. Many attractions nearby. Some furnishings are tired- one of our mattresses, the pillows- but it seems like items are being upgraded. Come for the view and remote location- don’t expect a hilton and you’ll enjoy.

This location is situated directly next to Seneca Rocks, it's perfectly nestled in the valley and has an absolutely stunning view of the rocks. The food from their kitchen hits the spot after hiking, is reasonably priced, and the staff is beyond friendly. In times past we've driven straight past here to other places but I'm glad we stopped on this trip, we will be making this our regular pit stop for food while traveling in the area.

These cabins are great. Nice bathrooms and all necessary kitchen utensils. Very clean ,plenty of towels and coffee and creamers fire pit outside and gas fireplace inside great heat and ac. And the rates are great. We have stayed hee twice and we will be back Also in the shadow of Seneca rocks
