My family and I had a great stay over a game day weekend at this cozy guest house near UA campus. The people there were super friendly, and the accommodations were really comfortable. We had use of the beautiful kitchen, which was stocked with coffee, drinks and snacks. It felt like a home away from home. We had a lovely time chatting with the other guests and owners. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Wood Manor Guest House is absolutely amazing! Brenda and Al have done a fabulous job renovating the house and are gracious hosts. The Archer suite had a cozy bed and gorgeous bathroom. The common areas and kitchen are also lovely. We had a wonderful time watching football games together with other guests in the living room.
The location is ideal for football weekends or any event at UA. It is very conveniently located! Truly a home away from home! Highly recommend for any event in Tuscaloosa.

In a word: Stunning!||Wood Manor Guest House is lovely. The rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful. The beds are comfortable. Just a perfect place to relax and unwind. You can tell the owners spent time on every detail when they renovated this large house. ||The full kitchen has all you need to cook or just leave your food in the fridge and enjoy numerous snacks (oatmeal, pastries, cookies), coffee and tea. Plus there is a sizable living room with a huge TV.||Brenda and Albert and their daughter are all quite responsive and super friendly. We hope to stay here often to visit our son at U of A.|5 stars all the way!

The house is beautiful and immaculate. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The beds are comfortable. The shower has great water pressure! I felt safe. It is conveniently located close to campus and downtown Tuscaloosa. I would definitely recommend this place.

Only a short drive from the University of Alabama campus, Wood Manor Guest House is a lovely home-away-from home! Our bedroom was large and comfortable. The kitchen has coffee, tea, sparking water and yummy snacks for guests. There is lots of room to relax in the beautifully appointed dining and living room areas. We are very impressed and will definitely choose to stay here again the next time we are visiting Tuscaloosa.

I’ve stayed at this embassy many times and always had double bed rooms, this time I had a king and the fitted sheet did not fit the bed and kept rolling off at the corners. You don’t want to look at the mattress trust me NO mattress cover. I was told I was talking to the room service manager when I called to complain, I really think his vocabulary only had a hand full of words and a couple of grunts if this is who they hired for this position, the hotel manager should be fired immediately. Room service to me is the most important part of a stay. I realize it’s not a 5 star, but the least they could do is get nice linens and do a good job cleaning. Attention to detail is not their strong suit.

I can’t say enough positive about this property and the owner. My flight was last minute cancelled, so I needed to cancel and rebook, and the owner was SO incredibly understanding and helpful. The house is gorgeous, the amenities are thoughtful and top notch. This is a must stay kind of place!

My family and I loved our stay there. Brenda and Al are such gracious hosts and made it a very enjoyable experience. The house is beautiful. It is a lovely mix of old world charm and modern convenience. Perfect location for any University of Alabama activity!
