Had a poor experience with a weekend stay. There was a malfunctioning smoke detector in an adjacent room that was chirping all night. I reported it several times to staff and they did nothing. It was like that for two nights!! How can a person get a good rest with that going on? Staff did not seem interested in trying to help me or solve the problem. Not exactly the experience I'd recommend to anyone.

Our room & bed was very comfortable. We were originally going to be on an upper level but being seniors & no elevator, the staff was very accommodating & gave us a ground level room. Reasonable prices . I would stay here again & recommend to others.

After traveling 14 hours on December 26th, 2024, and feeling totally exhausted, I asked for an early check-in around 9:30 am. I was told the room would be ready by 10:30 but I would have to pay an additional $50 to check in before 3 pm. I declined. I returned at 3 pm and checked in and was assigned a floor on the 4th floor. When I asked where the elevator was, I was informed they did not have one, and I would have to climb the steps that are OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING and be uncovered to protect myself from Washington State weather. My physical health would not allow this. The woman at the front desk informed me they were full, and she didn't have many available rooms. I told her I could not make those stairs, so she found one on the first floor. I also asked her for a room with a tub as I soak in a tub after a long day. She advised me the only rooms with tubs are on the 4th floor. I chose to stay on the first floor.||||The room was a little small, but it was adequate. It was also cleaner than most hotel rooms. However, there was only a shower and the curtain didn't reach the floor, so every time I took a shower, the floor was covered in water. Also, the hot water only lasted 2-3 minutes and then turned to room temperature. ||||The free breakfast was a nice benefit and it was adequately stocked. ||||Finally, I received a text the day I was checking out informing me I could check out online. I did so and indicated I would check out by 11 am, the deadline I was given. I started to load my car at 10 am and when I tried to use my key card to go back into my room after the first load, it had been deactivated. I went to the front desk to get another card and she was surprised I had more than one load and offered to help me move my stuff instead. I declined, as I didn't want to be rushed, so she gave me another key card.||||This whole experience left me feeling unwelcomed by the staff. I will not return.

While traveling solo I felt safe here. My room was clean and quiet. Hotel is close to anything you may need. This is my go-to while visiting in Bellingham, WA. Online booking was easy as was checking in/out. I wish my bed and pillows were this comfortable at home!

Positive: I liked the comfort of the bed and the sheets. Not only the feel but there wasn't a strong scent to trigger allergies. The bed was very comfortable. Negative: The bathroom entry was a little tight.

This is one of the most friendly places I've ever stayed. They take such good care of you or start to finish. They have some of nicest front desk staff. They bend over backwards to make you happy. The rooms are big and nice. All of our needs were taken care of

Tepid hot tub but reasonable rooms.

Here's the bad news: instead of an hour soaking in heaven, I spent ten minutes trying to convince myself that lukewarm water was bearable. Then I shivered back into my clothes, icicles practically forming as I walked back to my room, where I enjoyed the most splendid twenty-minute shower. The hot tub sign lists a maximum temperature of forty degrees. It would be nice to also enforce a minimum temperature.

Now for the good news: friendly and prompt service, pretty good rooms (a few quirks but decent for a budget hotel), comfy and clean beds, and landscaping that takes advantage of a creek running through the property (very Pacific Northwest chic). A better than average buffet with sausage, eggs, waffles, and other options. As you can see, the hotel is next to the freeway and across from a strip mall, but it feels safe and reasonable. It's just unfortunate that management seems to be saving a few bucks by barely heating the hot tub and not replacing the noisy hot tub fan (the hot tub is in a little sun room so I assume the fan removes hot air from steaming up the windows).
