My family held accounts at this bank for the better part of 60 years. I truly don't know what's happened here but the small-town bank is truly gone. From massive errors during an attempt to get several mortgages through this bank to them denying my mother access to her accounts after my father died even though the people there personally knew her and knew the accounts were hers, I can't imagine why anyone would want to continue to bank here. This bank is a shell of its former glory and appears to just be a branch any more of a bank that now sits off of Old Jacksonville Road in Springfield. We now hold zero accounts at this bank. I even had a 45-minute conversation with the bank president before closing my accounts and was told good luck elsewhere. Now THAT'S sad customer service.
