On our second trip to Mineral Point, Wisconsin, we wanted to stay a bit closer in and chose the Mousehole Lodging, very near Shake Rag Alley and the Pendarvis Historical Site. For our purposes, the wonderfully appointed kitchen was a draw. The sitting room was small-ish, but OK for 4 people. The stairs to the rooms upstairs--warning, here--the stairs are VERY steep and they tilt and you don't want to try them unless you're sure-footed, strong and clear-headed.||The two rooms are very nice, and the one bathroom upstairs is huge and very clean and also well-appointed. The back yard is a lovely garden. On-street parking directly in front of the lodging is a plus.

We occupied both sides for our "girls getaway" 4-day weekend. I found it charming and well appointed. It provided everything we might have needed. Most importantly it was very clean. This is a must for me. The only drawback was the very steep stairs which gave us quite a workout! We were located within walking distance of the shops and a wonderful Mexican restaurant. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Fun and unique, historical accommodations that added a welcomed twist to our vacation. Although we didn't meet the owners in person, they were friendly and responsive to our needs and comfort . . . . And left us a great plate of home-made scones to welcome us!

Cool old house from 1800s. Clean rooms, wonderful beds. The steps are steep, so i would not recommend it for anyone with mobility issues. Beautiful gardens in the backyard. Kid friendly.
