I stayed here in July 2016 with my two sons 10 and 13, The lodge is clean and comfortable. WiFi connection is very poor so if you need email and internet you will be disappointed. Tracie our host makes two meals per day, breakfast and dinner both were very good. We made our own lunches everyday. Turkey or PBJ. The staff is very nice and friendly. Port Lyons is very nice but no stores if you run out of supplies. So really stock up in Kodiak before you head there. Fishing on the ocean was great. Travis spent alot of time showing us how to fish, we did well with Halibut, Rock fish, and Linkcod. Fishing on the river was much more difficult. They dropped us off and we walked a trail to the dam. If I went back I would have done more homework on Salmon fishing. So overall I think this place would be worth while to go fishing and get away.

Susan and Travis and their extremely friendly staff made us feel like family in a very short amount of time. The accommodations were pristine, homey, comfortable, and welcoming. In addition, the homemade food was incredible! A myriad of activities helped us to rate this trip as one of a lifetime, as we fished, kayaked, took nature walks, and viewed a variety of wildlife. My husband, son, and I caught halibut, yellow-eyed rockfish, salmon, rock fish, and more. What an amazing experience! My son didn't want to ever leave. 🙂
