We had a great day skiing Whitecap Mountain! First time skiing here. It's been on my list since the 70's. Finally! Quaint and very unique ski resort. All these Midwest Ski Resorts have their own charm. This one is very different than most. You just have to ski it to understand.

Whitecap is an overlooked gem. Just enjoyed opening day. The service was amazing. The food was delicious, I recommend the Prime Nachos. They are recovering from the fire and just need to be given a chance. I will be telling people to go. Thank you for making this birthday great!

Took our annual ski and snowboarding trip and had amazing conditions with a lot of new snow. Great service and food at the lodge. Ate a few meals there and stayed at the onsite hotel. Can’t beat the hill and was lucky enough to have the long lift open for a day.

I want the Cap to be a huge success! That being said, we were told dinner was served until 9 only to be told at 8:02 that they stopped taking orders at 8 because the kitchen was backed up. Walked by the open kitchen at 8:30 and it's clean swept, burners off, done. To say the least I was annoyed. Also, why close the bar at 9 on a Saturday?

We stopped here as one of many places we needed stamps from for the Pumpkin Run we were participating in. We didn't actually go to the resort, we had to drive around the side to Wine Hut located outside the main hotel. The bar was remotely located, but was such an amazing place to stop at. It's a smaller location, so they are limited in what you can drink. However, with what they had to work with...the bartender made well. We all had a drink and my wife and I partook in a pulled pork sandwich while we were there. The sandwich was delicious and hit the spot for we had been drinking all day without food. We stepped outside and warmed up at the fire and even roasted a few marshmallows while outside. They had a horse drawn carriage that was pulling kids around for a hayride going at this time and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We couldn't stay for long, but made plans to return when the opportunity presented itself in the future.

Went as part of our honeymoon hiking weekend and quickly discovered we could have camped, in October in northern Wisconsin, with better results. We chose the poor excuse for a resort because we could bring our dog. TV doesn’t work, shades don’t work, and shower doesn’t work. Ant traps in every corner of the room. People drunk and yelling everywhere, even thought they say you HAVE to be quiet. Yeah, right. Tell the front desk all the issues and they just say ‘sorry’. So if you feel like paying $200 for a bed and a toilet, this is the place. Otherwise, spend your money ANYWHERE else. Worst stay ever and it was part of our HONEYMOON. We were so horrified by everything there. Seriously, DaysInn would be better.

Stayed here 2 weeks ago. Probably cheaper due to off season. Mattress was sagging.
Dog pee at base of toilet.
They upgraded us to a room with no shower curtain (he did put up a new one). Crummy toilet seat.
He had to round up a 'bench' & a chair.
No coffee server.
Carpet strips were coming up & were were tripping!
Fire alarm went off 2 times in night.
Bed was great!
Definitely needs some upgrades though!

Absolutely the worst stay. My husband and I got married a couple months ago with intentions of having a hiking weekend in the fall sometime for our honeymoon. We are dog lovers so we booked only places that accepted dogs. Whitecap Mountains Resort being one of the options for one of our nights in that area. When we got there the tv didn’t work which wasn’t that big of a deal but we let the front desk know so we wouldn’t be charged for it not working. From there it only got worse. Blinds didn’t close, ant traps everywhere, then the shower didn’t work either. To top it off, the room above us were having some sort of dispute or wrestling match. Not to mention the loud people in the room attached to the pool room and parking lot. Every time we stepped out of our room someone was yelling. Paid almost $200 for a bed and a toilet in what felt like a loud frat house. Nothing relaxing about the place at all. And when we complained to the front desk about our other issues besides the tv we were only told ‘sorry.’ No offer to discount the room for having almost NONE of the amenities offered on the website. Cannot steer people far enough away from this horrible, horrible place.
