Leslie and her team were excellent when we had a holiday lunch party for our office of 20 people. The food quality and taste were highly rated. Ingredients seemed very fresh, individually packaged for everyone to enjoy when convenient, delivery was on time. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available. Price was very reasonable and response to email communication was prompt and professional. Highly recommend!!

I was introduced to Waters as my company has ordered catering from them many times and we love the lunch spreads they bring in and they have done a phenomenal job with catering our office parties as well. Our staff loves their food and they have the best roast beef sandwich in town! Every time I am nearby, I love to stop by and ending up coming home with way more than just lunch. Their quiches are unrivaled and my whole family loves the pearled couscous salad. My vegetarian friend says the veggie sandwich is one of the best she has had and has been dying to get the recipe. The staff there is always super friendly and knowledgeable and it is apparent that they like what they do and take pride in their food. Such a nice change of pace from so many other places.

It is so delicious and they are so nice. I was in a hurry to get to USD so I went in and asked for the quickest sandwich, they made me a chicken tarragon by the time I had paid. I ate it at school and it was delicious! It's cute inside so I will go back there when I have more time and try other items from their delicious looking menu.

Waters catered a corporate event for us last night, and the event could NOT have gone any better thanks to their incredibly professional, 5-star team! Special shout out to Monica and Spencer - you guys took the stress of planning out of everything! The food and service was beyond what we expected. I received several comments throughout the night that the servers and bartender were all SO nice and pleasant. The food was incredible and everyone raved about it. I truly appreciated the full service from set up to clean up, and beyond. It’s no question that we’ll use Waters for our events moving forward, and will recommend them to everyone we know and work with!

I have been to their downtown and Morena establishments. I have have their catering food at galas and events. Their consistent excellence in food preparation, presentation and service is without peers anywhere. I have had food that was not exceptional as I had come to expect, but that was a one off experience at a gala. Other than that, I have never had bad food from them nor did I ever have anything less than exceptionally pleasant, gently attentive service.

As to the price, it's not McDonald, and it will never be, as long as it maintains its superlative quality, nor will it ever have the price of McDonald's as there is a cost incurred in having hand selected, locally grown, quality food. I go to McDonald's as my son likes to go there. I like the food there for what it is. I love the food at Water's cafe if I want to treat myself and do it without pretensions or pomp. It's food that's precious and made with genuine particular effort, not a mass produced, cheapest food available that's made to taste decent that is served by unnamed workers.

During the 30 years that I have been living in San Diego, I found out that the owner has done many wonderful things for the community of San Diego. The place is the epitome of local business doing wonderful things in San Diego and for San Diego.

I write on public forums rarely but that one review complaining about the price of food at Water's Cafe does not have proper perspective; and it is misplaced. If the price is the utmost concern, there are other places for that. I want the best value on the price, Water's cafe is the place. I have never been anything less than pleased and happy after having eaten at the Water's Cafe(s). I am grateful that we in San Diego has a local eatery like the Water's Catering. It's a San Diego Jewel.

The food here is tasty and well prepared; however, the owner has to be one of the greediest human beings alive. The food is not organic, but you'll be paying for higher prices than organic. She charges $6.50 for 1 small, skinny black bean tortilla!! She charges $12 a lb for vegetables (not organic), she charges exorbitant amounts for sandwiches that only have 2.5 oz. of meat. A sandwich for $9 with 2.5 oz. of meat is the equivalent of paying $53.00 a lb. for sandwich meat!!!! Not to mention she charges $1.50 for 1 average size chocolate chip cookie (50% more than what Whole Foods charges for a bigger cookie) ; $4 for a brownie; and more for other, very small deserts. The food tastes great, but do they really need to fleece the public that much?

Probably my favorite lunch place in the area. Haven't had their catering, but if their lunch food is any indication, I'm sure its phenomenal.

Always great, friendly service. Can be a tad slow sometimes, but that's only because the secret is out! Call ahead and put in your order to save some time.
