My son and I just returned from a 2-day fishing outing (3 nights lodging) with Cast Alaska. From being picked up at the airport upon arrival to being returned after our stay, with our 50 lb. box of fish, it was a truly enjoyable experience. A first-class operation. All fishing and weather gear was provided. The boat was manned by a knowledgeable captain and deck hand that made sure we were rigged right; and got to the spots and were fishing at the right depths, where the fish were biting. They filleted, froze and boxed up the catch for transportation home.
The family style lodge was very comfortable, especially after the long days of fishing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. And the meals were excellent. The term gourmet would not be a stretch.
5 stars all the way around.
We are looking forward to a return next season.

Bucket list AK fishing trip accomplished! What an outstanding experience. Mike, the lodge staff and the boat crew all five star, outstanding hospitality, food off the chart, felt like a family with great social experiences as guests come and go. But its about the fish and we found'em! A big shout out to our deck hand Hunter, he doesn't stop making our fishing experience seamless.

Just returned from a trip to Vonnies. Great time lots of fish and the service was awesome both in the boat and during our time in the lodge. Boat captain and deck hands very knowledgeable and put us on fish every day regardless of the weather conditions. Lodge staff highly focused on making sure our trip was comfortable and fun. The food outstanding every day!! Already planning a return trip next year. Thank you for a great time.

Wow...what an experience! Mike and the crew provided us with a 5 star experience. The food and lodging were absolutely incredible, and the fishing was off the charts amazing. Mike taking ownership of this business is only going to make it more incredible and the sky is the limit. I've fished with a ton of charter companies in AK but Vonnie's blew them all out of the water. Can't wait to return!

We got back a few weeks ago from a wonderful experience at Vonnie’s Charters. Our hosts, Mike and Kenzie, were friendly and accommodating. We had delicious, chef-prepared dinners every night followed by amazing desserts. Thank you Kristen. The fishing experience was everything we hoped for. Captain Conner was knowledgeable and wasted no time making sure we were catching fish. He was extremely helpful and kind. We fished for three days and had a different deckhand each day. All three (Kenzie, Max and Josh) were so hardworking at keeping our lines with fresh bait and free of tangles. They were always there to help get our fish into the boat and give pointers how to be more successful with our catch. After returning to the lodge, Sandy worked for hours to process the catch of the day and made sure it was ready for us to take home. We could not have asked for a better experience and left feeling like we had made numerous friends and looking forward to our next trip there.

We have been going to other areas of Alaska for a few years and chose to try Vonnie’s this time. We couldn’t be more happy with the decision. Vonnie, Dave and the entire team are easy and professional. The boat captains and deck hands are patient and hard working. We caught our fish every day and spent the evenings in the comfortable hospitality of Vonnie and Dave. We have already booked our return trip for next year! We can’t wait!!

The level of customer service we experienced with Vonnie’s was unparalleled. We booked a charter for two, and without going into detail, it didn’t quite go as planned. Our Captain was a subcontractor, and after emailing Vonnies team about the experience, we received a call within 2 hours from Mike…the gentleman that took our reservation and from what I hear, is one heck of a Captain himself. All Mike wanted to do was fix the situation. Not only did he do just that, he went above and beyond 48 hours later to insure that we left town with big smiles. Let’s just say he put us on some serious salmon, halibut and rockfish! If you’re thinking about booking a charter anywhere in Alaska, your search can end with Vonnie’s. Our next visit will include Vonnie’s lodge package, because if this is how he treats clients, I can only imagine how welcomed he must treat those that stay with him.

We have fished with Vonnie since 2009 and always have a wonderful experience. She serves 5 star meals, wonderful lodge and comfortable boats. Her crew is outstanding; always there to please you. The captains and deck hands are knowledgeable and very patient (😀) AND accomodating. We have given 3 of our granddaughters a senior trip to Alaska and all three have many wonderful memories and want to return. Thank you, Vonnie and Dave.
