I removed three hair pieces from my omelet. Two of them were on the omelet, and I gave the benefit of the doubt that maybe I introduced them (it was unlikely because it was the very beginning of eating). Then, I saw one on the top side of the plate, and I decided not to continue.

I didn't want to mention it to the person in charge. The lady looked like she was having a bad day; she wasn't very kind to me when she got the order. Then, I heard her talking with a customer over the phone. She was a bit harsh to the customer, too. That was why I didn't want to tell her I had hair on my plate.

I paid by cash as I saw a sign that they are charging 18% automatically for tap payment. She realized I looked at it, and she removed the sign.

I didn't leave any tip, though, which I slightly regretted. I'm not sure what I can give tip for both hair and bad service. 🙂

Very strange experience.

Owners in the menu look like nice people. I don't know she is relative to the owners, but I hope owners would take this review as a feedback to improve things. Everyone can have a bad day, but this is a service business. If you have a bad day rely on your staff to handle front end of things.

Lovely experience.. Thank you all for making us feel welcome. It’s rare to have a perfect, or unproblematic dining experience these days. Thank you for the good vibrations.

We had a late lunch here. The place looks small from the front but the back part has a covered and open air patio. I had the Whit’s veggie sandwich. Other people in the group mostly got breakfast breakfast items. Everything was very tasty.

A little hole in the wall place with quirky and cute decorations, good food and kind staff.
We ordered a couple of veg omelets, French toast, pancakes and small sides. Food tasted good, but nothing extra ordinary. Plenty of parking along the street. The back room where we sat was makeshift and lacked good heating so we were very cold on NYE morning.

I'd recommend this place for food, easy breakfast but keep in mind that there are plenty of other good options out there.

Located in Studio City and serving patrons since 1964, Vivian’s is a classic diner option in the valley. It’s very small on the inside with only a few large tables. They also have more seating in the back, but we were able to find a seat for two in the front for a 10:30 Sunday brunch. They don’t have a dedicated parking lot so it will be metered street parking, which is not that hard to find in the valley. Our server was polite and all of our items came out quickly. I am giving 4/5 stars because the food quality isn’t as good as some other places close by like More Than Waffles, Bob’s, or Paty’s and the inside could use a cleaning. The floor was very dirty under our table and the table next to us even complained about it.

I started off with a Coffee, which is my go to order at any diner. For my meal I chose the Eggs Benedict with a Biscuit on the side. The Eggs Benedict had a nice flavor but the eggs were undercooked and runny. They did not have the true poached consistency with the yolk covering the dish, it was too watery and splashed out as soon as I cut into it. Also the biscuit was as flat as an English muffin and really lacked the biscuit or buttermilk flavor. We also ordered the 2x2x2 and the pancakes were actually very good, but it’s also very hard to mess up pancakes. It was not a bad meal by any means, but certainly not as good of one as others I have had close by on the same street.

Overall I would say it could be an option if you’re already in the valley and the more popular spots have too long of wait times.

Parking kinda sucks. Wait time was decent if you dine inside. Upon further inspection, I should've dined outside. Food was good. Price for 5 of us was $109...it was fair. Service good. Overall, this place is cool.

Our favorites were Brandon's Special omelet, Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream, GF pancakes with white chocolate chips, scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. Service was very friendly, quick and attentive. Food always arrived very hot and fresh off the grill. Upon entering the garden dining area for our second breakfast in two days, we were warmly greeted and recognized as new regulars. There's a reason why this charming little place has survived since the 1960s in the tough LA restaurant market.
