First time at Marriott Visalia for work. Stayed for two weeks and I am glad I have chosen this hotel. |Good location: only a short walk to downtown Visalia with plenty of restaurant choices. Has outdoor pool and hot tub. Gym is clean with cardio/strength training equipment. On site restaurant provides good food. Clean room and comfortable beds. |Everyone was professional and helpful. Specifically, I would like to thank:|1) Fernando (front office manager). In fact, I have chosen this hotel because of his excellent customer service over the phone. I contacted hotel prior to my booking and he returned my phone call promptly and provided needed information.|2) Crystal at Starbucks coffee bar. She is a good barista and will remember your specialty coffee drink. She also goes out of her way to say hello whenever she sees you. |3) Housekeeping service on 6th floor. It is so nice to come back after a long day at work to a nicely made bed and clean room. |4) Cameron at front desk. We love the fact that he always welcomed us back as we enter hotel lobby. He is happy and it shows with his customer service skill. Thank you, Cameron, for provided service with your smile each time.|5) Last but not least, Susan at front desk. She is friendly, caring, and will offer help as needed. During my stay, she recommended a product to help me sleep better. Thank you, Susan, for making your guest feel like home.||All in all, it was a pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

We asked in advance for a quiet room away from the elevator and on the side of the hotel away from the freeway. We were assured that we would receive that. When we checked in, I asked if the room assigned met those criteria and was assured that it did. The room was next to the elevator and was very noisy. It was also facing the freeway. We had to move, and they moved us to another room facing the freeway. They did not give us a discount of the rate. When I asked the front desk person what their name was, so that I would be able to reference it in any future conversations with management, the person refused to provide her name. This was a very disappointing experience with Marriott.

This is a great place to stay while in Visalia, the restaurant serves good food. There’s a breakfast buffet with real scrambled eggs, sausage and other breakfast items. The steak and eggs is awesome and so is the clam chowder. They even have a Starbucks located within the hotel. The rooms are clean, the pillows are firm, which I’m not into cheap soft pillows like other places. The shower puts out hot water within a minute or less, not like other places which takes more than a minute.

My wife and I took a vacation to hike some of the national parks in California over Christmas. This hotel was in a great location to get into Sequoia. Also, we had bought ice cream while getting hiking supplies. It had melted by the time we got back to the hotel and Abigail, Nacho, Marlow, and Maria were kind enough to make put the ice cream in a freezer so we'd have Christmas ice cream. We really appreciate the hotel staff going above and beyond!

Pretty great stay for what it was - utility, convenience and economical. Great of you want to stay walking distance from downtown. The best kudos goes to the staff, mostly everybody superfriendly. And I got to run into Randy Travis himself after seeing his concert! I did not win the aftershow behind the scenes meet and greet, but nonetheless we coincided at the Marriott! Good Lord!
Hotel is pretty well kept and has a nice patio with a pool, hot tub, and some ping pong tables and mini golf. You can do your laundry if need be while relaxing at the pool.
Only couple of observations coming from a facilities POV...Rooms in the upper floors with a view of....The mechanical equipment? Don't hire that architect ever again. At least if you want to correct it somehow, install a fence to corral all the mechanical equipment out of sight...Yikes.
Then the pool chemical station - You should keep your acid tanks double contained in case of a spill, among a few other things.... Did that thing pass inspection? Do you need my help?

The stay was pretty disappointing. The cleanliness standards left much to be desired—the toilets were not adequately maintained, and the bedsheets did not appear fresh, which was quite off-putting.

Adding to the frustration was the unprofessional behavior of some staff members. When I requested to change rooms, I felt that the workers were talking behind my back, making the situation uncomfortable and unwelcoming.

There was only one elevator working, and it was very slow, causing a lot of frustration.

On the positive side, the manager was nice and tried to help with my issues.

Overall, my stay wasn’t enjoyable, and I hope the hotel can improve these areas in the future.

My Wife and I were in town to see friends and just wanted a place to sleep. The Staff was extremly friendly and helpful. Maira went above and beyon getting us to a quiet room away for the activities going on that weekend. we will difently stay here again when we come back!

We had a fantastic stay at the Visalia Marriott, which offers great value and is conveniently close to Sequoia National Park. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a King Suite with a balcony, making the stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, especially the made-to-order omelettes, which were delicious. A special mention to Cathy, our waitress who went above and beyond to accommodate us to bring decaf coffee for us from Starbucks, such a nice touch! Overall, a wonderful experience with excellent service and a great location.
