Violet Suite PDX was amazing! Brad and Ofelio are super helpful and respond quickly! The space was beautiful—so much space and beautifully designed. The master bedroom and bathroom are amazing, and took us back a bit particularly the giant bathtub and steam shower! It felt like being in a luxury hotel from the fireplace, to the glassware. The entire building, including parking lot feel very safe and secure. I booked for a group of friends and everyone was impressed. We've already begun talking about our next plans to stay there.

Edit: The folks at Violet Suites PDX contacted us to let us know we had left something. They were super kind and are working with us to get it shipped to us! I'm so impressed by their customer service! We'll definitely be back!

This is such a sweet little boutique sweet hotel. I had booked through Points on my credit card and instructions for check-in we’re not readily available. But when I called and spoke with a manager she was so helpful and nice! I love the space. The free secure parking is great. Comfy bed. The bathroom has a bathtub. There’s a washer and dryer in the suite! That’s pretty great.
I was worried because it’s on a street corner that it might be noisy but it isn’t. It’s the second floor of the building and it appears to be well built with heavy modern windows that block out the road sound. And the roads are not major thoroughfares.
The suite is well appointed. It’s the first place I’ve stayed that has a first aid kit. It has all the kitchen tools you need: mixers, measuring cups, grater, cutting boards, etc.
The space is open and not cluttered. It feels like a little bit of Portland with books and fresh coffee.
If you don’t want to stay downtown with the high parking prices and dealing with all the stuff that’s downtown, this is an amazing choice.

What a beautiful place in the heart of Portland! The rooms have a great vibe, every room is very clean, the furniture is in great shape and CLEAN! This place is dialed and the prices are very reasonable! Well worth your hard earned dollars, you won't be disappointed!

Several negatives: I needed to call to get heat working room was set at 58 degrees. Brad fixed remotely but I then lost control device I want to turn off. Window shade once down was difficult to raise up. The should be opaque to eliminates street light outside window at night. The toilet required adjusting by jiggling the apparatus 3 times. I tired to walk out but the door to office had a push button lock that may have used my code but I thought as much after to drive my car out. the night. Nite Stands are too small for the light and CPAP equipment. Finally have a TV with local canals should be essential instead of Roko!!!

This hotel is a true hidden gem in Portland! Let me break down why I loved it so much based on five key criteria:

1. Safety: 10/10
If safety is your top priority, this is the place to stay. Compared to many Airbnb apartments, Violet Suites PDX feels incredibly secure. They've got locks for the parking area, the main door, and the rooms all using keypads. Plus, there are cameras everywhere. There's plenty of parking too.

2. Comfort: 10/10
The rooms are spotless and super convenient. From the outside, it might look like a typical commercial building, but inside, it’s like stepping into a beautiful castle. The photos on the website are exactly what you get in real life, which is rare. The room is packed with modern amenities, including new laundry machines and an impressive array of coffee-making tools, complete with coffee beans and a grinder. Whoever designed this place clearly has a great eye for detail.

3. Price: 10/10
The price is a steal! When my family and I arrived, my mom couldn't believe how affordable it was. She even asked if I had made a mistake with the booking because the room was so nice. We laughed about it because it was such a great deal. It's the best room design I've seen in the US, and it made us feel like we were getting so much more than we paid for.

4. Cleanliness: 10/10
The place is incredibly clean and smells wonderful. It was renovated in 2023, and it shows. Everything from the towels to the kitchen and the bedding is pristine. Our relatives, who have lived in Portland for almost 20 years, were also blown away by how nice the room was. They're planning to recommend it to their friends.

5. Care: 10/10
We arrived late at 11:00 PM and were a bit bummed not to see anyone at the front desk. But then I found detailed instructions on my phone about how to get in, and it was super easy. This hotel uses a convenient self-service system, so just make sure to check your phone messages. The property manager is super friendly and attentive. Whenever we needed anything, she was right there to help.

I really wish more hotels in the US focused on this level of care and functionality. So many expensive hotels look fancy on the outside and in the lobby, but the rooms themselves can be disappointing. What really matters is the room you stay in, and Violet Suites PDX gets that perfectly.

I regret not taking photos to share, but I will definitely be coming back to Portland and staying at this hotel again. Many times over.
