Ballard coffee works is part of Seattle coffee works. I like the coffee here, strong and just right balance of caffeine and taste. Food options are limited and taste just okay. Tried plain croissants and a strawberry croissant.

I stop by here multiple times. There is ample seating throughout the store and though it gets busy you can actually get some work done. Best choice if you’re at the Ballard Farmer’s Market and in need of coffee.

The line gets long but service is fast so it moves pretty quickly. The store also has a retail section with various coffee and apparel for sale.

Coffee is little pricey but quality speaks! Far better choice to get good coffee here rather than going to Starbucks.

The baristas were unfriendly, hostile, and passive aggressive. I received no greeting when it was my turn to place an order, but noticed that all of the customers that came after me were greeted and treated warmly. In addition, all of the customers that came after me received their drinks quickly, while they "forgot" my order. I stood waiting at the counter for 10 minutes and had to tell them my order was missed. There was no apology and my drink was made carelessly.

Good coffee spot with ample amount of seating. Coffee/drink pricing goes from $4-7. Good tasting and straightforward as coffee can get. Minimal food selection as snacks ie) banana bread like items.

This place reminds me of what Starbucks must have been like before it was cool. Although it is part of a chain (Seattle Coffee Works), one gets the sense that you could actually sit here and write your screenplay just like everyone at Starbucks dreams of doing.

I stopped while cursing the Ballard Farmer’s Market in need of a coffee. I think this place is probably most busy during the Saturday market and, although the line was long, it did move quickly. I just got a cappuccino with skim milk but the baked goods and breakfast sandwich he’s looked fantastic.

I get the sense that this is one of the more touristy locations, what with the coffee and apparel for sale. While that doesn’t stop the coffee from being really good, it might make it a bit overpriced. Don’t go to Starbucks in Seattle, go to Coffee Works!

This is a great place to have a coffee and work, they have free WIFI and space for your laptop.
Their coffee is great, I had the Drip coffee and you could tell they had Ethiopian beans in there.

Love the different locations of the Seattle Coffee Works network and this one is no different! Coffee is on point - the mocha is coffee forward and not too sweet, just the way I prefer! The interior is spacious with plenty of tables to sit and relax with a book. Lots of people working in the cafe too - the environment is conducive to getting good work done! The baristas are friendly and super nice - special mention to them for getting my name right on the first attempt 🙂

Quintessential Seattle coffee with strong coffee and indie rock music in the background. We went around 4:30 PM on a Saturday and it was quite full. Lots of people on their laptops, a few socializing - creating a more studios, work-oriented atmosphere. The Cappuccino was decent, much less milk than other local shops, but it was still ok. With several options close-by, I wouldn't rank this the top choice, but it's a good choice overall.

Their great service turned the disappointment into satisfaction! I’ve come inside with my drink after sitting outside for a while. There was still a little amount of coffee on the bottom, and I was about to finish it, but then found the entire cup was gone when I was back from bathroom. Kindly, they apologized and brought me another cup of drip coffee when I described the situation (I asked just a half amount as that was quite good enough). I appreciate that they cared about how I would feel 🙂
