Just stopped by Orange County for the weekend, and we chose to stay at VEA for the first time. The staff are attentive and excellent all over, from the front desk to the restaurant to the pool bar. Our room had a great view of the golf course and there was a tournament going on that weekend. Breakfast was simple but good. There were a few issues wrong with both our meals, but our server fixed it quickly for us, which was appreciated. The pool bar had a unique screen above it with an aquarium streaming on it which made for a great ambience while enjoying a cold drink and people watching.

We were very happy overall. My wife and I were already talking about finding time to come back again soon.

We were at this hotel from Thursday afternoon until Monday morning in March. The atmosphere was busier on Friday and Saturday. The business was noticeable at the bar, where it's the only place at the hotel to conjugate and have drinks. The hotel is peaceful, clean, and well updated. There is only 1 main pool and 1 jacuzzi. There is a golf course behind the hotel for those golf afficionado. Overall, the area outside the hotel is very clean, peaceful, and safe to walk.
We had a room which was like a small apartment with the bedroom in the upstairs area. The room had a pool table and other games to play. From the upstairs area, we had a great view, and it felt lovely to lay in bed with a great view.

Fashion Island is located across the hotel within walking distance of 10 minutes. Great restaurants like Sushi Roku and R+H Restaurant for American food.

Exceptional Service and a Relaxing Stay at Newport VEA!

We recently stayed at the Newport VEA hotel and had a truly wonderful experience! The property itself is stunning, with a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere that made for a perfect getaway.

One standout moment was after dinner, when we returned to find the bar had closed early due to a potential power outage. Stacy, the host manager, went above and beyond to ensure our evening wasn’t disrupted. Without us even asking, she graciously provided us with a lovely bottle of wine, walked us over to the cozy fireplace, and made sure we were completely comfortable. Her thoughtfulness turned what could have been an inconvenience into a delightful and memorable moment.

The service at the pool was equally impressive—when the temperature started to drop, a staff member kindly brought me a blanket so I could continue enjoying the serene environment in comfort.

Additionally, the convenience of the shuttle service was a fantastic perk. Having a direct line to a car that took us to and from the restaurant was effortless and made our stay even more enjoyable.

Every detail, from the attentive staff to the peaceful atmosphere, made this a truly relaxing and pleasant stay. We’ll definitely be returning to Newport VEA and highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional service and a memorable experience!

Vea Spa is such a beautiful experience! |The staff are welcoming and friendly. |My massage with Masami was so special and healing. The spa treatment rooms are very clean and have the best cuddle blankets to put on top of you. Be sure to pre-order your lunch and have it delivered to you outside at the poolside. If time permits awards get a relaxation facial by Megan. It’s a magical experience and the Spa Director has the best teamwork!

Parking is pricey $65 a day. Clean, rooms are decent. Shower is amazing.
Pool is lovely. Poolside drinks and food are decent, but again quite pricey. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would go again.

I had a fantastic room on the top floor with 2 balconies! Such service! Mt family and I had great swims and loved the hot tub. Our meals were delicious and the ambience professional. |The valet service was stellar! We enjoyed AJ and had a great discussion with him when we went to see the Xmas boat parade. |Thank you to all the workers at the resort for a fabulous stay!

VEA Newport Beach is a great hotel with a prime location! Situated right near Fashion Island, it offers easy access to shopping, dining, and beautiful coastal views. The rooms are modern and well-designed, and the beds are incredibly comfortable—perfect for a restful night's sleep.

The WiFi was strong and reliable, which was a big plus since we were there for a conference. Service was friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable.

A couple of small drawbacks: The food at the hotel is a bit pricey for basic options, and the gym could use more machines and weights to accommodate guests looking for a full workout.

Overall, a great place to stay in Newport Beach—ideal for relaxation and convenience. Would definitely return!

Really nice Marriott in excellent location. Stayed in the newer looking tower with the meeting rooms, and they were very nice and modern. Location near Fashion Island Mall as well as walking distance to Balboa Island (1.5miles) is excellent. There are other strip centers near by as well. Staff was first class and very happy to serve. We would definitely stay here again.
