Excellent value. The room was slightly run down but very clean. The bed was clean and comfortable. We came in in the middle of the night, and the attendant was very friendly and efficient.

The Value Inn is absolutely tragic. There was trash filled just outside the room, and an odor I can only describe as fish-like that was horrendous. The photos are not up to date nor do they represent the location adequately. We checked in and checked out in under 10 minutes and the only staff member on duty was less than helpful in addressing any concerns or a refund. Avoid the Value Inn Kenosha!!!

Positive: Absolutely nothing!!!! Negative: It looked like a vagrant camp. One level and rooms opened directly into the parking lot. VERY poorly lit, people wandering the parking lot after dark, bicycles, boots, folding chairs and personal items outside the rooms, old, etc. etc.

They have the dirtiest rooms I have EVER stayed in. Luckily, I was told before hand by another resident to wipe down all the surfaces before touching anything, and the wipes I used were black! I had to go out and buy some fabric sanitizer for the bed, cuz, I didn't trust the bed to be clean. I also cleaned the floor because my shoes kept sticking to the floor, and I went through 6 Swiffer wet pads, and about 3 dry ones, and almost half of a huge bottle of multi purpose cleaner to get up all the dirt, grime, and sticky residue from the floor and even cleaned the bottom of my shoes so I didn't get the floor stickied up again. And, there was dried urine stains on the front and sides of the toilet. So, basically I paid $55 to clean and do the housekeeper's job. Oh, and the person at the front desk was rude as hell. Would rate 0 stars, but, it won't let me.

Stayed here out of necessity on a father son road trip in 2022. Being that I was on a tight budget and losing $140 earlier in the week by another hotel we didn't even stay at, this was our only option. Let me just say that this place sticks out like a sore thumb! I'll just say it, this place was a dump! It is so incredibly outdated and in need of soooo much work! They should just take a wrecking ball to it. The hotel looks like its from the 80's and does not come close to its other competition just across the street. Understandably, I'm not expecting a 5 star luxury hotel but they should meet minimum requirements. It felt like you entered the "bad part of town" when you drove in. I ended up paying $128 for a double bed room(weekend rate) and they could not get my credit card to work. That hassle took 45 arduous minutes and it was 90 degrees outside. AC was on but behind the enclosed counter! I had to stand there and roast to death. When we finally got our room, it was not very nice. I found dirt everywhere, mouse droppings, damaged walls, doors and floor boards. I checked the mattresses for bed bugs. Luckily, none to be found but there was trash between the mattress and box spring including a chip bag, used Kleenex, hair balls, empty beer cans under the bed and a dirty sock! Gross! The bathroom was appalling! Shower and tub were filthy and stained. Toilet was clean but very old and stained. Bathroom door had a hole like someone threw a bottle at it. The pictures I see online are nothing like what I saw. It's possible they had a remodel since then! (God, I hope they did!) We couldn't shower because of the bathroom. Just brushed our teeth in the sink and used a washcloth for a wipe down of our bodies. We kept our socks on any time we moved around in the room. The room and hotel felt unsafe. I'm an officer by day and a pretty good judge of shady people. There seemed to be a few of those types hanging around a parked van down a ways from our room. I saw them drinking and going in and out of multiple rooms so, I brought it to the attention of the manager. He told me they were "maintenance guys" and was not concerned. I told him they were drinking beer and going in and out of multiple rooms. He just said, "yeah, those are the rooms they're working in." Wow! I couldn't believe it! I felt totally dismissed but mostly, I didn't feel safe. My sidearm is always with me and that night, I slept with it on my pillow. I know hotels are popular places for "campers" looking to take advantage of visitors. Thankfully, we had no issues with them or anyone else. The day previous, the ice machine wasn't working. The manager said it would be fixed that evening. In the morning checking out, surprisingly it was. He was kind enough to allow me to fill my cooler with ice before we got back on the road. I'll say this, if the hotel was in fact remodeled, it looks decent now but the whole vibe of the place seems very off. When we stayed in 2022, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Now...it's your call!

This place should be condemned. If you read nothing else, keep that in mind. The floors were dirty and were literally sinking in the middle of the room (203). The toilet ran periodically throughout the night. Overall the condition was very poor. The front door when locked still can be pushed tighter to close because of the large gap of missing weather stripping. You can see light coming in all around the closed door. The old A/C unit air filter was caked in dirt, the room hadn't been dusted or cleaned for lord knows how long, the bed was on a wood box platform and I tended to hit my toes on it constantly. And I know there's a no-smoking policy, but the room stank of smoking from years past. You need more than one coat of paint on the walls (with an odor blocker) to cover up the stink. And the furniture... did they pull these out of a dumpster? Seriously. Put them in the trash. They're junk! The bed...omg it's nothing more than thinly wrapped springs. The owners should be ASHAMED of the condition of the entire place. Even the stone column outside the front office is crumbling away. It's just a horrible place. I didn't even bother to shower and couldn't wait to get out of there!

This motel is by far the worst place I have ever seen. I spent a total of 3 minutes in the room and had to leave because I was so disgusted. It’s dirty, it had an extremely pungent fish smell, it was not safe, and the front desk person was extremely rude.
Spend the extra money and go across the street. I am perplexed that anyone would say this place was anything but awful.
