It would’ve been nice if they’d explained to me that the Gibraltar was that much in size for a drink like the cup felt empty. So I said to the young lady with the gray sweater, glasses and no hairnet on could I swap it out for a different coffee same price so I went with the batch brew. Instead of her meeting my needs as I am the customer she caught an attitude and questioned whether the cashier explained to me how the Gibraltar works or not rolled her eyes and so the young man next to her took care of it for me no problem no attitude. As a citizen that was raised here in Madison 20 plus years I didn’t feel welcomed or that I belonged there the moment I walked in and this was my first visit/ experience. By the way I am colored

tried giving a local coffee shop a second chance but the mocha has no flavor except for coffee grounds and the chocolate wasn’t mixed in. staff was not friendly. they were focused on their own conversations with each other. go to colectivo!!

This place is overhyped. Drinks and customer service were poor. Very disappointing.

The Iced Chai Latte was painstakingly sweet (cavity inducing sweet), and I did not get any extra sweeteners or syrups added. My friend got a Flat White and said it was practically air.

Regarding customer service, the cashier did not greet me at all even after I said hi to her first. It’s kind of funny because she greeted the Caucasian girl in front of me when she ordered and the other Caucasian customers in line that ordered after me?

It’s upsetting to see this as more and more of us are trying to support local businesses over big corporations, but unfortunately my friend and I will not be returning to this coffee shop.

In town for the Crossfit Games and always looking for a local coffee place. College town coffee shop so you'll find students working on their laptops as they sip liquid support.
Clean and open environment with plenty of space.
I tried the Miel (cinnamon & honey) good strong coffee taste not a sweet drink at all if your the kind of person that enjoys a little coffee with your sweetness. I do tast the cinnamon but the honey flavor is lost in mine. Husband had the same drink and can definitely taste the sweetness of the honey. So a little inconvenience. Friendly staff. Would definitely visit again.

I absolutely love Valentia Coffee- not only for the fresh and local menu, the quality drinks, and the clean and welcoming atmosphere, but for the friendly staff, manager, and owner as well. Every time I get a cute personalized drawing or note on my coffee cup it makes my day. The mural inside the shop is a great spot for photos. It goes without saying that the Valentia family loves what they do, and every visit reminds me why it is my go-to for coffee and a quick healthy breakfast in madison 🙂

I love this coffee shop. Not only is it a nice environment to study in with free wifi, but all the drinks I've tried so far have been really good. You can tell they really put a lot of care into this place and how they prepare their drinks and want people to keep coming back. The staff here are also super friendly and it's just a really nice place to get your coffee or go study at for a while.

So to whom ever is over this company that responded to my comment RE READ & if you know your store then you should know your menu by hard that doesn't have the sizes next to them if YOU RE READ I said THE CASHIER NEVER INFORMED ME ON THE SIZE SMART AZZ!! Also address my other concerns about mistreating people and treating others a certain way upon greetings as well as the other young lady who left a similar review will be taking this concern to the proper people after today thankyou!!

Stopped by here while visiting from out of town in the Spring. Staff was patient while we decided on our order and I always appreciate when coffee shops have steamer options for our little one.

The baristas doodled on my drink, which made my morning and a fun surprise!

We also ordered some breakfast sandwiches, which were freaking delicious. I loved the chili oil that they served with mine at the time.

Overall, was a lovely place to stop for coffee while visiting Madison.
