Ugly Apple Cafe catered my wedding celebration brunch this past weekend, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Their selection of options was impressive, featuring a delightful array of pastries, vegetarian choices, and savory dishes that catered to all tastes. Every item was beautifully prepared, presented, and delicious. Laurel was great to work with, and her staff was friendly and attentive. Unhappy pączki experience.

First impression: small for pączki, closer to elongated donut holes. First bite: immediately bite through a thin layer of pastry to filling which accounted for 75% of the volume of the thing. I have a hard time rating the texture of the dough, given how little of it there is. Really remarkably undersweet, both from a pastry and filling standpoint. Bears minimal structural resemblance to the authentic Polish item, but more disappointing that it was not a sweet treat. These observations were equally true across the three flavors I sampled.

I was sad after eating because in my heart I am missing the flavors of Poland.

Oh my god, the pączkis!!!! I ate 3 in one sitting. Oops. If only these tasty Polish treats came around more than once a year. Excited to try the rest of their baked goods!

Our baby shower luncheon at Olbrich Gardens last weekend was so good! Ugly Apple prepared delicious pulled pork and sides for us. The cupcakes and lemon bars were also delicious! We will definitely use you again! Thank you!

Ugly apple is just the best. I work in the building and I’ve had to stop myself from going downstairs and getting their food so often because it’s too good. Everyone that works there makes the food and lattes with care. I hope to see a second location out where everyone else can enjoy it someday!

Laurel and the team did the entire catering for my wedding and it was absolutely the best decision we could have made. We had buffet-style appetizers, dinner, and desserts through Ugly Apple and everything was amazing. We were able to get options to suit all the dietary needs of our guests and Laurel was so clear about communicating allergens and working with our needs. The food was delicious (so were the leftovers!) - we got lots of compliments from our guests. They were responsive, so kind and helpful on the day, and so easy to work with. 100% would recommend working with them for any event needs - and stopping by the cafe for a treat too!

Always love stopping here! Usually not in the courthouse for a fun time but when there the staff is friendly and kind making the day not all so bad!
