In the heart of old Palmer, where flavors entwine,
A dish divine emerges, a feast for the eyes.
Eggs Florentine, with poached yolks that brightly shine,
Nestled on new potatoes, a savory surprise.

With red peppers and onions, they dance on the plate,
In crimson sauce, a vibrant embrace they find.
Chef Ryan's creation, a culinary fate,
Freshly grated Parmesan adds richness refined.

Four and a half minutes, the eggs softly rest,
Their golden centers beckon with promise and grace.
Each bite is a symphony, a brunch lover's quest,
A harmony of textures in this charming space.

So gather your friends for this brunch-time delight,
At Turkey Red's table, where taste takes flight.

I always order Eggs Florentine if it is on the menu. Turkey Red's is the best I have ever had. The eggs were perched like a proud, deserving king and queen atop what I presume were Alaskan vegetables-- carrots and potatoes and onions. Delicious!

I also bought some tea. I enjoy Love Potion-- does it "work" or is it just me 😉 I'll keep buying and drinking it. Cheers!

If they have root cellar stew, order it. There is nothing better in all things culinary than Turkey Red's root cellar stew. I think they make it with the best cuts of beef, and the usual vegetables and a touch of cream.

Good vegetarian options. Service was good. And they have the option of getting a smaller portion size for their entrees which was very much appreciated!

Server was so delightful and attentive, very accommodating and friendly. Ordered the seafood pasta and was delighted. One of the best things I've ever eaten, and they also took my rather low spice tolerance into account. It's a bit loud in there, but it's a busy restaurant in a small building, so I can't hold that against them. Go at ~4pm for quick service.

Took a nice trip to Wasilla Alaska and when we were out fishing someone told us to try this restaurant. We went there smelling like fish but no one complained. Food was great, good atmosphere and server was excellent. Gave 4 stars only because they did not have regular soda to drink but it is a must try if you are in the area.

What a gem to have found in Palmer!

Coffee shop feel, but high end cuisine taste.

Delicious stew, pasta, and bread. The gluten free accommodations were surprisingly thorough and equally tasty. Not to mention the variety of teas and other non-alcoholic drinks!! (They have alcoholic too)

Seems like they have a lot of new staff and are working on their efficiency, but we weren't in a hurry and appreciated the relaxed atmosphere.

This place was a nice surprise for us. We were returning from Eklutna Trailrace and stopped at Turkey Red in Palmer for lunch and we were thoroughly impressed.

Here they serve sandwich with soup of the day.
I ordered the portobello mushroom sandwich with broccoli cream soup and my husband had the Philly sandwich with lentil chili soup. Everything was absolutely flavorful and satisfying.

The ambience of the restaurant was nice and cozy and the service was top-notch; our waitress was friendly, attentive.
Overall, Turkey Red Restaurant exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a delightful dining experience.

My friend new the owner and highly recommend this place. So, off we went. I forget the servers name, but she is an older gal with red hair and has been there for 9 years. She was so amazing. Great service, friendly, professional, and just all-around amazing. Always had a smile, and so did the other staff we interacted with. Sorry, I forgot to take pics of the food. I had the delicious veggie pizza, John and the steak, and shon had 2 different appitiserer (the 1st one on the list and the fried brea). Everyone said it was worth it and so yummy. John even talked to people coming in as we were leaving about how amazing the steak was.
They even have a section to share free books with others. How amazing is that?
I highly recommend this place, and I will definitely be back. Go have yourself some amazing food around some amazing staff. Alex, you really have an amazing thing going here. Keep it up!!

This is long. For those who don’t want to read, the short version is that if you have a food allergy or sensitivity don’t come here. If you are looking for a relatively quick dining experience, don’t come here.

The long story: I made a reservation for 6:15. While waiting at the “please wait to be seated” sign multiple people cut in front of us, and the host helped them despite telling us several times that they would be right with us.

Ok fine, it’s a busy night. But after waiting 10 minutes just for my husband to approach the host, we learn that our table isn’t ready. The host has to move a table and add it to another section, clean up the table, and then we’re seated a few minutes later.

Again, ok fine, it’s a busy night. The waitress comes over and we place our order. A soup, the ratatouille and 2 pizzas. 1 regular cheese and 1 a bit more complicated: GF veggie pizza without cheese, and mushrooms on just half. Repeated the order twice, and she repeated it back. I ordered a kombucha and was offered a sample of it before committing to the glass.

Several minutes later the waitress comes back to say they are sold out of pizza for the night. Ok, fine, it’s a busy night. Let’s be flexible. We reorder different meals. But then several minutes after that, we learn the kitchen has already started our order and we were the last to get pizzas. Great! Back to plan A.

The complimentary bread and soup come out pretty fast, but the kombucha sample took at least 10 minutes. Then when I ordered a glass of the kombucha it took even longer for that to come out. (Think it’s important to note I didn’t ask for the sample, it was offered to me. I wasn’t trying to be difficult).

Eventually the pizzas come out. The cheese looks great. But the gluten free and dairy free pizza has cheese and mushrooms on the entire thing. The mushrooms I can get past, but I just cannot have dairy.

The waitress offers to see if the kitchen can make a new pizza for me. She does, and they do.

But here’s when things start to go from “ok fine” to well this is getting frustrating. The waitress announces that she will give a discount for the messed up pizza. A discount. On the pizza they messed up on and that she offered to keep on the table since my husband could eat it.

We let her know we don’t feel we should pay for any of that pizza. She was apologetic, and I do understand it wasn’t her fault, nor was she responsible for the pricing. She checked with the kitchen, and was able to take that mistaken pizza off the bill. But, the fact that we had to protest paying for the mess up was bothersome. And at this point it was nearly 8pm, we had been in the restaurant with two tired kids since 6:15, and still didn’t even have my GF DF pizza. We ask for it to be boxed when it comes out.

Eventually we do get the boxed pizza. The waitress discounts the kombucha and even throws a brownie into the mix. She was the only good part about the experience.

Because I get in my car, we drive away, and when I open the box I find that they had made the freaking pizza with cheese and just picked it off. I could see white from where the cheese had melted before removing it. And of course it was covered in mushrooms. It was literally made the same as the first messed up pizza, but this time they picked off the cheese.

Thankfully I don’t have an actual allergy to dairy, just a pesky autoimmune that makes me have joint pain and headaches when I have dairy. But for someone who has a serious allergy this could have been an awful situation.

This was the third time we’ve come here and every experience is similar. This was just the worst one.
