Our stay at Trouvaille House was incomparable! The house is gorgeous, and thoughtfully decorated. I loved staying in the Klimt Room, surrounded by incredible art. The room was comfortable and we had plenty of space. The house’s location is perfect. Within walking distance from the “lower town” (the national park, John brown museum, shops and restaurants, etc.). Finally, Christie is such a joy. A truly kind person who went out of her way to make us feel welcome while visiting. She provided great recommendations for food and things to do, and even gave us a tour of her lovely lavender farm. Highly recommend Trouvaille House!

This property is exactly as advertised and then some. It exceeded our expectations. Attention to detail is in every aspect of the Parisian Suite. It is decorated beautifully. The bed is very comfortable. Christie brought new life to this historic house. We were the only ones in the house so it was a very quiet experience. We parked our car upon arrival and didn't drive it until we left. We walked everywhere. Christie is an exceptional host and gave us a list of suggestions for places to see, things to do and where to eat. We were happy with all the recommendations we tried. If our future allows us to, we will return and stay in the Parisian Suite.

We had a wonderful stay at Trouvaille House in the Parisian Apartment. We met with owner Christie when we first checked in and she gave us a list of things to see and places to go in Harpers Ferry, including local live shows. Our room was beautifully appointed and decorated, from the newly renovated bathroom and retro mini-fridge to the very comfy bed. Separate from our room, the house has a kitchen with everything we needed. Entry to the house and our room were both keyless, which was really nice! We had a delightful stay and highly recommend Trouvaille House!

Absolutely beautiful and fabulous hospitality!
Each of the suites are beautifully and thoughtfully appointed. It was a treat to stay in a space that was decorated by an artist. The location is fantastic! Close to restaurants, bars and coffee, yet very quite. The owner took time to share the fascinating history of the house and even helped us plan our Harper's Ferry itinerary.

My husband and I stayed here after we got married on La Soledad Lavender farm, which is owned by the same people! It was amazing. The house is beautiful inside and out and makes for a perfect getaway. The suite we stayed in was so beautifully decorated with antiques. And it was so romantic. The bed was so comfy and there was a faux fireplace, a soaking tub, dimming lights, robes, a tv. Everything you need for a cozy night in! We were also walking distance from all the shops in Harpers ferry, all the restaurants, and hiking trails. It really was wonderful! This is the perfect place to stay if you want to make the most of your trip to Harpers ferry, because there’s no parking in the town, so you can walk to everything you want to do! Christie was so kind and sweet and just made our stay perfect. Highly recommend!

Trouvaille house: room #1
Wow, what a piece of history brought back to life! We stayed in Harpers Ferry for 2 nights, we enjoyed our spacious room with its private sunroom, Nespresso machine, private small fridge/freezer & gorgeous claw foot tub. Our bed mattress was definitely the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on away from home. The big room boasted a large bathroom & like I said, to have the extra space of the sunroom came in handy & was enjoyed. The house was absolutely stunning, the history was so interesting to learn about and the owner & co-host were astounding in their efforts to make our stay a very special one.

Juan and Christie are perfect hosts! The home is impeccable and beautifully decorated. The art on the walls is fabulous and each room is unique. Everything is provided to make the guests comfortable. Bravo!
