The only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars(yet), is because I haven't stayed there personally. But I have been two years in a row for drinks, dinner and a walk around. It is a lovely magical place in the woods that I'd love to run away to every chance I get.
I have had the opportunity to camp close by and was introduced by a close friend and I look forward to it every year now. They have a tradition that I have been lucky enough to partake in.
This place is a gem and makes me feel like I am home!
Great atmosphere, delicious food that fills you, delightful drinks to ease whatever tensions. And the gift shop is where I hope to work when I retire💚

Loved it in the 1950’s when I was a kid old enough to wander by myself. My dad would be out fly fishing, and my mom would catch as many sitting on the bridge. Trout for every dinner except one at the restaurant. Swam every day. Still loved it for a week 40 years ago, but my wife didn’t.

We just got back from an amazing week. This resort was perfect for us. The kids after being home for 3 months on electronics needed to unplug and be outdoors for a week. The atmosphere is safe and you feel 100% ok with your 4 kids running around all day and night making friends and having fun! As parents we needed the break from life and loved that we could also sit back and enjoy our time. Can't wait till next year.

Great area to stay and enjoy being unplugged. There are lots of family activities you can take part in, if you want. They have a great little store, ice cream shop, coffee bar, restaurant, and available games. Choose from tennis, horse shoes, bocce ball, ping pong, and a small arcade. The fishing is great as well. It is a rustic get away the whole family can enjoy. The cabins are clean with basic necessities: shower, toilet, stove/range, sinks, refrigerator, and basic kitchen tools. There are mattresses but bring all your own bedding and towels. We brought our own pillows as well.

It was a very pleasant experience. Beautiful evening. Kim was so attentive. The food was spot on especially the Salmon. It melted in your mouth. Our friends Bill and Hazel. Our sister in law Cheryl. Our Son Henry , my husband and myself had a very enjoyable evening. We look forward to dining at Bears Breath every year. Thank you everyone for being there💜

Our experience is as cabin cleaners, we've only gone up there once so far. However, the rooms look pretty decent they do need just a little bit of work (in the works) and area is Absolutely Beautiful 💖⛰️🌲🏞️🗻🏡🎣🩱🩳👙

Don’t be fooled by the “fluff” fake reviews. This place is no gem. The cabins are extremely rundown and dirty! They've put zero money into the cabins in 50+Years and it shows (however they charge as if your staying at a 5 star hotel in Paris)! Worst of all the owner is very rude, abrasive, and greedy. You'll go home feeling ripped off. Female owner has no thought or respect for the new people who spend a thousand dollars to come stay for a few days. She acts like you’re bothering her, has no sense of customer service, treats everyone as an inconvenience! What happened to the good ol days when businesses actually appreciate your patronage!! River water was freezing both times we visited, in different summer months. This place is way overpriced. We tried it twice, both times we were dissatisfied with the value. There are much better places close by who provide a better experience and appreciate your business$$!
