ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS! Do not expect staff to let you know anything about what they have booked for you. It was very unfortunate that the staff did not communicate or notify us that the airline they booked our flight on charged for things like carry on baggage, beverages/snacks on the flight, etc. This caused a change in how we planned to pack for the trip & an extra cost. When I called to express my disappointment in not being told this information the staff became very defensive.
I was told I needed to speak with the person who booked my arrangements but that person had never been in the office when payments were made or when calling to check on things. After stating they were never in the office I was told she was "out of the office for a short period"...that means I never would have been able to talk with her. I was told they would speak to her to "see what was discussed & try to get this resolved". I called the next day to see if that discussion happened, I was again told that I needed to speak directly with her but that, again, she was out of the office. The staff again became very defensive when I continually stated that communication/notification would have appreciated, and, honestly expected by a company that offers travel arrangements.
I was told that I was needlessly "chewing him out" & "obviously nothing would satisfy" me even though nothing was offered in the way of satisfaction, not even an apology that I felt their service was lacking or their lack of information caused an inconvenience for us.
I mean, they booked my accommodations so they did the minimum but if you're looking for any details on the hotel/flight they are booking you with, go with another agency. I hear Classic Travel is pretty good but have had no experience with them.
