We came for our honeymoon and we loved this place. It was very cozy and comfortable.|we slept like babies.|We loved the details like the aquarella, the books and the bathtub 🛁.|There is a bedroom with a big bed and the salon with another bed that we used as sofa.|Trisha sent us the instructions to entry by SMS, they were easy and gave us a lot of privacy 🔏.|Huge parking space for our big car.|Walking distance to Anchorage (6min walk).|Kitchen fully equipped.||We'll be back🌟

Our visit was very relaxing as we found this little jewel, the Yellow Cottage, away from the bustle of Main Street, charming, quiet, clean and well laid out for the two of us. It lacked nothing. Trisha was awesome and the breakfast served at the Roadhouse was an absolute must. Wish we had booked for additional time. Would definitely request again!

My husband and I really enjoyed Trapper John's cabin. It was cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the record player and the vcr player! Talkeetna is a wonderful little town with good eateries and nice local people. We would definitely stay at Trapper John's again. Oh and if you can,eat breakfast at the roadhouse when Trisha offers it! The sourdough pancakes are awesome!

Our 2nd year in a row staying in Hugos Cabin. We came up for an amazing Arctic Entries story telling event at the Sheldon Arts Hanger. During the days we skied from the cabin, ice skated (the rink is a short 3 minute ski through the woods from the cabin), and biked on the amazing trail network near X, Y, Z Lakes. ||It's one of our favorite getaway trips every winter and look forward to it again next year. Stellar hosts Trisha and Rocket really make the place magical! Can't recommend it enough.

Communication with the owner was top notch: quick, proactive info shared to make check in totally smooth, including a ride from and back to the airport, and the whole stay very enjoyable. It’s an easy walk to the center of town, and we just loved slowing down the pace and hanging out in the cabin and around town. Hugo’s cabin is so cute and had everything we needed. We would most definitely come again, and if you are looking for a rustic but charming and practical stay in the woods, within a 10-15 min walk of town, Trapper John’s Cabin and cottages is a sure bet. We highly recommend!

I stayed with my husband and 15 yo nephew in Trapper John's Cabin and loved it--favorite spot of everywhere we stayed in Alaska! It was spacious, quirky, delightfully decorated with fun period accessories, and filled with everything you could want to do inside--board games, a piano, tons of records, movies on VCR, loads of books and National Geographics. You could never leave and have a great time. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and the fresh eggs from the chickens gave us a delicious breakfast! Rocky picked us up and returned us to the train station, and even managed a moose viewing as we were driving out! I'm so glad I found this place--best spot ever!

We stayed in the Yellow Cottage for two nights. It is a wonderful little place, with everything you could want and more. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes some extras, such as hot chocolate mix which was very welfome. The whole place is well furnished and very comfortable. Talkeetna is a fun place to viswit and you can walk into town from the cottage even though it is on a quiet sidestreet.||Highly recommend this.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hugo’s Cabin. It is tucked in the woods, just a short walk to town. An adorable rustic cabin, Hugo’s is spotless with so many thoughtful details to make you feel welcome. I especially enjoyed the bird feeder right outside the window. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if I’m ever lucky enough to be back in the area.
