We checked in Friday evening (8/9/24). The lobby was beautiful, clean and smelled great. The two Sarah’s at the front desk were very helpful and kind.
The sheets were a little dingy but all in all, the rooms were okay.
However, my main concern was breakfast Saturday morning. I brought my family down to have breakfast but had to sit in the lobby and wait for the housekeeping staff to get breakfast. After a few minutes, we did go back up to the room due to the staff making and getting food with no gloves.
They appeared very sloppy and were talking loud and inappropriately in front of my children. Definitely feel like Marriott can do better! 6/10 recommend.

Best place in town to stay! We brought a whole baseball team here, and another was staying there at the same time. The staff was very accommodating. The rooms were perfect. The lobby is super huge and perfect for groups to hang out together. No complaints at all. If you're traveling anywhere near Dothan, stay here!

Dothan is a quaint town with all the Southern hospitality that you could ask for and this hotel is no exception. From Sarah at the front desk going out of her way to help me keep my groceries cold when delivered, to Rocky grabbing me quarters. Clyde helped me charge my electric vehicle and get it set up, of which they have 3! Becky is a welcoming host and pointed us to all the best restaurants and shops, helping us find the best food and deals in town. Overall the hotel is central to everything and the rooms are comfortable. The in room fridge and range are helpful, with plates, utensils and pans of you want to cook. Miss Cassandra makes an amazing breakfast so don’t miss that. For anyone here for a sports event in Dothan, this is the spot! thank you to everyone for making our stay so comfortable and memorable!

I found the lady at the front desk during check-in to be very polite and helpful. The lady on shift after 10 pm was wonderful; she assisted us with gaining access to our room due to a faulty locking mechanism. However, the food ordering seems mismanaged as most of the breakfast items were gone by the morning, taken by a traveling baseball team. Additionally, coffee is not available 24 hours a day in the lobby. Unfortunately, this establishment lacks exhaust fans in the bathrooms and proper shower liners.

This place is great! Beyond clean and safe the amenities like full fridge and kitchenette make an extended stay comfortable. But mainly it is the fabulous staff from Sarah making sure I had mobile check in and a key on the app as I was driving down to Jodi checking in on my midnight rambles for forgotten items in the vehicle. They were so friendly and helpful. Jermaine and Miz Cassandra on Breakfast service made mornings a joy. While Mr Clyde kept all the mess policed up around the pool and around the property. It is a great team that know their guest from pilots to little league infielders.

Remodel was going on which was fine, however our room was gross. Our shower had nasty stains on it and pubic hair still in the shower. This place was gross and if you enjoy cleanliness, I would not stay here.

This property is in serious need of maintenance and cleaning. While the common areas are nice and well kept, the rooms are disgusting and in poor condition. The first room I went into was so gross I walked right back out, and the second wasn’t much better. Stained bedding, sticky surfaces, hair everywhere, holes, dust, dirt, and even a dried, bloody booger. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

On the other hand, the front desk staff were very pleasant, and the breakfast was on par with the typical Marriott offerings. This location did have an EV charger.

All said, stay somewhere else.

The TownePlace suites by Marriott hosted our Wiregrass Daylily Conference in Dothan, Alabama. |The front desk staff were friendly and polite. They were attentive to the needs of their guest and very accommodating. They were able to let us check in early and have the breakfast room open earlier to accommodate our bus tour group. The rooms were spacious and clean. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
