It's a sub-$100-quality room with a $400 uplift for its convenient location. The room felt like a sauna, even with the thermostat and heat off. Staff advised to open the patio door to regulate the temperature. The bedframe crossbar jutted out 4-6 inches from the mattress, causing multiple shin bruises. The temperature on the shower valve should be considered an average: be prepared for sudden bursts of scalding water! The TV didn't work. The Internet connection was slow. The microwave trips the surge protector after 40 seconds, unless you unplug the minifridge. From the high prices, inflexible cancellation policies, and poor customer experience here, you would not know the rest of the travel industry is fighting hard for your business amid a pandemic.

The location is excellent- right in the village and can see Starbucks and Lulu from the balcony. The room wreaked of cleaner when we walked in. It might be because the bathroom has huge issues. The floor is rotted out around the toilet. Other than that, the room seemed old and dingy. The bed, tv, microwave and fridge were nice. I’m glad we stayed here but won’t do it again unless they lower the price or renovate.

It’s not so bad. I was scared from reading other reviews. The room itself was ok. The ac didn’t cool the room very well but opening a window brought in some air circulation. In our specific room, one of the beds was more worn than the other. That was kinda gross. Like what happened there? Did a 600 lb. guy just lay in bed for weeks? There were nice toiletries supplied and a coffee maker and refrigerator. We had access to the recreation center (but didn’t use) and were close proximity to the shops at the Northstar resort.

I travel half of the year and have stayed in all types of hotels. This is a 2 star hotel with 4 star prices. Obviously the location drives the price here. Check in staff were friendly. Our first room was not facing the Village and overlooked a parking lot and loading dock from the second floor. Having read other reviews about snowplow and beeping delivery trucks, we asked to be moved. Next room was facing the Village but the unit directly above was being gutted and remodeled (see pic) we didn't know this until the next morning at 8am when the power tools on the floor began...and continued. Moved again down the hall and it was fine, but after seeing 3 rooms here it's clear that the owners do the bare minimum to maintain and update. The only way I'd stay here again is if I planned on spending minimum time in the room, it faced the Village, and there was no construction. You are paying for the 3 minute walk to the gondola.

The room at timber Creek Lodge was ok. It was summer and the air in the room seemed kind of stale since there's no central ac but with the window opened, it was ok to deal with. I'll admit that we were quite concerned about the room after reading reviews, but the room wasn't too bad. One of the beds definitely seemed more worn than the other but we didn't use it. The amenities of the room was standard of hotel rooms. You get to use the fitness facilities for a small fee and it's so close to the Northstar resort and shops. Most shops were closed though.

For what they charge, the amenities are sub par at best. Rooms were old and dingy, bathrooms were so dated, mold around tile and on floors. Maid service was a joke, only made up one bed and kept the other messy. Rug was dirty, not vacuumed. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Would NEVER stay here again.

We always stayed at Iron Horse, Big Horn or Ritz and had good experience. This time we had to stay at Timber Creek due to last minute planning and it was way way below expectation. Only one star for it's location. This lodge is very old, dirty and disappointing. Ancient heaters that are too loud, no ski locker (skis might fall down on the closet mirror, ...), no customer service, ... .
