There is wheelchair access, but the bathrooms are a bit tricky. I enjoy the newly renovated look and the rooms show modern styling. There is a microwave and fridge, but not all fridges have the small freezer component. The bathrooms are nothing special, but it will provide hot and cold water. It was clean when we got here and we had all the basic amenadies. Check in was courteous and easy, the carts for luggage was readily available. I didn't appreciate the added fees, which is in the fine print before you book. $27.50 per a vehicle, and a $100 deposit. For the price, it was exactly what we needed. The location was optimal for going to universal studios. It is a bit of a walk, and at the end of the night it's really the last thing you want to do. But it was a quick and easy drive there and back. Overall worth it.

We didn’t have high expectations going here due to the reviews and hotels in general have been a let down the last few years. There isn’t breakfast and the website advertises that the pool is heated but the receptionist said it’s not. For a place to sleep it was great, the rooms were clean, beds were as comfortable as you can get and we had some decent food at the restaurants around it. My only complaint was the hallways looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in days. It was an easy 15 min walk to Universal, yes it crosses over the freeway but as long as your paying attention it’s fine and it wasn’t to busy when we went this weekend.

Pricepoint was very good for a walkable (20-25 min) Universal Studios hotel. No hotel breakfast but bakery right down the street. Juice and coffee in lobby. Room was clean, microwave and fridge in room and bed/pillows clean and comfortable. Bathroom spacious, nice counter space. The highlight of Tilt was the staff. All of the lobby personnel and we encountered 4, the back office and cleaning staff went well out of their way to be friendly and accommodating! Five stars. Thank you!

Thank you for a great stay! Especially the morning managers, there’s a guy I forget how to pronounce his name but he was extremely kind & the maids too! Jeanna I appreciate you so much!! Also there’s a new manager she is amazing! Stayed for a month during the fires & without their help I wouldn’t have had a place to stay until my return trip. Thank you Tilt Hotel!!

Number 1, the front desk staff were no responsive. We called several times from the room during our stay and nobody bothered to answer, despite having staff at the front. We needed extra supplies and we had to go all the way downstairs just to get to a staff member to get us what we needed. I shouldn’t have to go to the front desk for an extra pillow or blanket.

Number 2, the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The pillows appear fluffy but instead were completely flat the moment you use them. The bed itself caused me to have new back and neck pain. I can’t sleep on my right now or my whole arm and hand goes numb from the compression in my neck.

Number 3, the “heated pool” is actually outside of the hotel. It’s attached to it but there is no inside access from the hotel. You have to go outside into the cold parking lot and then get access from the outside

Number 4, there is no breakfast! One of the reasons I booked this hotel was because it advertised free breakfast. Lord and behold I come to find out that it’s only during the “on” season and they then blamed booking.com for taking 45 days to update it. But they sure as hell made sure I knew about the $250 deposit and $27 a night per parking a few days ahead of time. My whole goal was not to incur extra cost in the morning with food. A head up would have been fine

Number 5, they own the parking lot, there is no reason to have to pay extra per night per car

Number 6, the bathroom sucked too. Clearly there is a jet tub in the bathroom but the hotel decided to remove the functional buttons so in essence it’s just a big tub that ends up wasting more water. I could have forgiven them if they had at least kept it functional. But nope they took away that pleasure too.

Number 7, this hotel is not worth the price. It’s close to universal studios but I should have gone to a professional chain instead, this was a terrible stay

Positive: Good location Negative: The window would not close all the way, we slept with cold outside air blowing in all night. Meanwhile, the heater did not work properly either. They kept saying maintenance was going to fix it, but it never got resolved. This room was misrepresented.

Positive: I felt like I was getting 5 star accommodations (from my perspective) at the price of a budget hotel. There was no restaurant but i didn't need one. What I liked was a clean hotel, a clean and quiet room, well insulated from adjoining rooms. Negative: No. not one thing.

This place is adequate. If you are used to really nice hotels it might not be adequate for you though. It wasn't the cleanest place, but was clean enough. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but were comfortable enough. The lobby has a strong aroma, but it's a decent smell and probably makes the places smell better than it would otherwise. My biggest complaint is that they advertise that they have breakfast, but they don't. We stayed two nights and on the first morning they put out a menu sign with all the great things they are supposed to have at breakfast but they only had cheerios and cinnamon toast crunch and one spoon for six of us. On the second morning there was nothing except juice. And it is not because other people had already eaten and they were running low. There just is no breakfast here. So plan accordingly for that. The rooms have very loud air systems, but this is actually a good thing because they function as white noise and cover up any noises from outside of the room. If you have people above you, you can hear them walking around, but it's not unreasonable as long as you don't have people above you walking around like crazy. The walk to Universal is about a mile. We did it with a family of 6, youngest being barely 7 and it worked out for us. It was actually kind of fun to walk to city walk and we ended up eating dinner on the city walk instead of in the park. The people who work at the front desk are both nice and helpful. It is a lot cheaper than the Sheraton or the Hilton and we feel it was adequate for us as a result.
