Stayed for two nights and loved it. If you enjoy peace and high quality this is for you. Made to feel very welcome with a complimentary wine tasting, fully stocked shared kitchen and very comfortable room. Recommend visits to Wild Diamond winery for breathtaking views and Stein and Wein for a refreshing beer by the lake.

Thorn Hill Vineyard Villas Review:

Nestled on a remote vineyard in the Clearlake/Lower Lake area, Thorn Hill Vineyard Villas offer a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. The villas are elegantly tucked away behind a beautiful wrought iron fence, surrounded by tall trees, vibrant lavender flower gardens, walking paths, and inviting outdoor patios.

While the villas might not have amenities like a gym, EV charging, or a pool, they more than make up for it with thoughtful food and snack provisions and delightful weekend wine tastings.

Overall, my experience was exceptional! I felt completely safe, enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, and appreciated the tranquility provided by the quiet fellow guests. Thorn Hill Vineyard Villas truly felt like a little sanctuary.

A couple of things you might want to know, and I realize they've gotten some great reviews from other people, but I really can't give them a decent review. The biggest problem is that they expect you to cook your own breakfast. That is not what a bed and BREAKFAST is, and putting raw eggs in a fridge with a couple of muffins does not constitute a continental breakfast. See photo

I called the woman that checks you in, because I'm handicapped and in the fluster of me selling out everything in my home and selling my home and then trying to make a reservation I totally forgot to check for an accessible room.

When I asked her if I could get an accessible room she said there weren't any available. When I explained to her my biggest problem is getting into a tub to take a shower, she did say there was a room with a shower and that she would call me back to let me know if it was available.

So 15 minutes later she called me back. And told me I could move to the other room. Then I learned later that no other rooms were booked I was the only guest. I can give her the benefit of the doubt that she may have had to call someone to get an approval, but why not just say that?

And I also learned later that they don't have accessible rooms. At all. Again why not just say that?

Another gripe I have is that you have to open and close the gate yourself. I stood there for nearly 10 minutes trying to align the holes to put the lock back on and ended up not being able to do it. So I communicated that with her also, and her response was well nobody ever tries to close the gate. I don't know, I'm of the mind that if you go through a locked gate you should probably lock it behind you.

If they know they have a problematic gate why not just tell you up front to not worry about locking it?

All in all I think it was a pretty shady interaction that I had with this woman and I would never recommend this place to anyone!

And when I communicated to her that I would not be giving them a good review she told me I should be really happy that she upgraded my room at no extra charge. Once again I was the only guest there!

This place has some of the best wine around lake county . Thank you so much to the lady running thorn Hill wine tasting ! I can't remember her name but she was amazing .. this place is a must stop trip for wine tasting and some good bottles to bring home. Try the chocolate wine sauce it's very good . Also this is a kid friendly environment with plenty for them to do .thanks again to the lady running the tasting room you great at what you do ....keep it up and will see you next trip

Lovely space and excellent hospitality. Communication was excellent. Close to wedding we were attending but I would absolutely recommend for a nice getaway. Complimentary tasting before we left and I'm currently sipping a lovely Reserve Volcanic Rock Cab i picked up. Excellent stay for the price. Quiet and comfy bed. Highly recommended. Only regret that we didn't get to stay another night. Thank you.

We arrived for a 4 night stay with another couple where we were shown to our beautiful two bedroom/two bath suite by Janiece. The suite was very comfortable and had great amenities (the softest bath towels anywhere, robes and nice toiletries) Amy and Jack Thorn, the winery owners, were there as well. They treated us like family! Great food and wine. From there we could drive to many other wineries in the area. One of the highlights was sitting out on their back patio watching the stars, sipping their fabulous wine. Breathtaking! A "must stay" place if you're going Lake County Wine touring.

If the beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, and gorgeous view aren't enough to bring you to Thorn Hill Vineyards, I can tell you they have some of the best wine I've ever had! Every time we are in the area we stock up on all of our favorites, and our need for more always comes way too soon! Not to mention, their wine club has some pretty amazing perks! They also have a cute back patio space that is dog friendly! (a must for us)

Wonderful time spent with the members for a lovely Thanksgiving dinner & wine pairing! 3 best friends from Upstate NY were able to reunite & celebrate the holiday at this beautiful winery! Meeting the owner and her daughter was a treat as well - I will always return to Thorn Hill when I am in the area 💜❤️ thank you for beautiful memories
