In looking for a caterer for our wedding day, The Wild Thyme came highly recommended by our wedding coordinator, Julie Scrivener, and our wedding venue, The Japanese Friendship Garden. Myra, Dawn and The Wild Thyme team were so kind and patient through multiple postponements from the start of planning our wedding in early 2019 to finally celebrating July 3, 2022. In fact, Dawn & the team were kind enough to allow a second tasting after said multiple postponements to include my out of town immediate family, which was incredibly special & the meal blew us all away. As expected, our foodie guests were equally ecstatic with The Wild Thyme offerings on our wedding day. A highlight of the evening for everyone was undoubtedly the raw bar - that will easily be one of the things our day is remembered for. We went with Wild Thyme for our wedding and had the best experience with them. I really loved how they did the tasting and allowed us to provide input if we felt any changes were needed. Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful. The food was also absolutely amazing! My husband and I still dream of their brown butter gnocchi and I wish there was a way to get it.

We used Wild Thyme for catering for our wedding and I could not recommend them more! The entire process from getting a quote, customizing it, and working with the team up through the wedding date was easy and seamless. We had a lot of questions along the way and Rachel and Jordan were very helpful and responsive.

For the wedding, we did action stations (tacos and pasta) and desserts. The presentation and food were both fantastic! We had multiple guests say it was some of the best wedding food they've ever had.

Dawn was absolutely amazing to work with! We recognize that it was a bumpy time trying to manage wedding planning during the pandemic, but Dawn and her team did a fantastic job all throughout. What blew us away entirely was the sincere attention to detail given in crafting our entirely custom menu, which was a place we wanted to showcase our two cultures to our guests. Dawn encouraged us to send over any family recipes her team could try out and even went so far as to try and grow a particular plant whose leaves were hard to get for one of the dishes. We came away wowed after every interaction we had and were very fortunate to have found The Wild Thyme Company! Being huge foodies, all of our guests who know this came with high expectations of our wedding day food. TWTC knocked it out of the park, and all of our guests raved about the braised short rib and seabass entrée and all of the cocktail appetizers that reflected both our Vietnamese and Egyptian cultures. The Wild Thyme Company was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding catering.
From our first interaction, their communication was clear, helpful and attentive - answering all of our questions thoroughly and putting us at ease throughout the planning process. They also pitched in ideas for additional rentals and reviewed our final rentals list to make sure we were covered. On the day of our wedding, their staff was friendly and professional, ensuring the food service went off without a hitch. The quality of their work was truly outstanding - the presentation of the dishes was beautiful, and our guests raved about how delicious and filling the meal was, from the passed hors d'oeuvres to the entrees. We were blown away by the value we received, as the food was worth every penny. Of course, there were some unplanned moments and guests, all of which were quickly and professionally taken care of by TWTC whether it be an additional plate or serving. The tasting we did prior to the big day was also such a memorable experience, with the chef and event coordinator going above and beyond to make us feel special. We couldn't have asked for a better catering experience, and we're so grateful to The Wild Thyme Company for helping make our wedding day so perfect.

We were between multiple caterers for our wedding, but Wild Thyme was leagues ahead of anyone else. From the food tasting experience alone, we could see right away how much they cared about us. Our food tasting experience was catered directly to us and so much more personable than any other vendor we met with. We got to meet the chef at the tasting, who asked us for feedback on the food. She took notes on the modifications we wanted to make to particular items on the menu. No other caterer did this at a tasting. They were so personable and thoughtful! Not only that, the food was so unique! It was not your ordinary boring wedding food - they DELIVERED. We knew right away with Wild Thyme.

Even leading up to wedding day, Wild Thyme communicated with us to follow-up on several small details to make sure they got everything right! For example, they offered modifications to ensure all guests - regardless of their dietary restrictions - were able to eat most of the food at our wedding.

Our wedding was a freaking wild thyme! The folks servicing our wedding were so incredibly attentive, the food was delicious, and between the bartender Ally and the servers, no one went hungry or without a beverage in hand the entire night. Thank you Wild Thyme for being instrumental in pulling off an amazing wedding!

We held a company teambuilding event at their location and it was an absolute blast! Our activity was a mystery basket style cooking challenge, guided by the chefs. I was so surprised how well our team performed and the food was delicious. Mirka is amazing to work with and the staff was incredible.

Wild Thyme was incredible! They did the catering and helped coordinate rentals for our San Diego Botanic Garden wedding. The food was fabulous and the event was beautiful. Most importantly it was super easy to work with the team leading up to the big day and them helped us make so many decisions and adjustments to our contract. Will definitely be working with them again!
