I read TripAdvisor reviews and the inn’s website before booking 4 night at this motel. Upon arrival I felt let down. The room I got was much uglier/smaller than photos I’d seen. The art on the walls was so ugly I took them down for duration of stay. The room was NOT clean as some reviewers stated. The bathroom floor was dirty, like they cleaned it, but did a poor job & didn’t go behind the toilet. One wierd thing- the bathroom sink is not in the bathroom. The table wasn’t a table exactly- it was an uneven desk thing attached to the wall. ||||FYI- Your room is not cleaned daily- you have to go ask for anything you need. I felt like I was in a $69 motel 6 tbh. Not worth it for the $350 I paid per night. On my last day there after being there for three days, I had to go ask for more toilet paper as the girl handed me two rolls. She made a point of telling me that I need to leave any unused toilet paper in the room. No class. When checking in treated like their expecting to violate their no pet no smoking no extra guest policy||||Positives- bed comfortable. Included mini fridge. Close to coffee place and village. Ample free parking. New carpet.||||Coffee pot and coffee selection very sad. It’s a meager little drip pot and some sad packets so you can brew your self. ||||Would never stay here again, not even if it was free.

Throughout my life i have never had this type of experience at checkout. I received a call at 11 while I was in the parking, that we went to your room and you are not in the room. I told the receptionist that we are leaving and she threatened us if we do not leave she will charge us 50$ for 30 minutes. I graded my luggage and since the office was right next to our room dropped the key before taking my suitcase to my car. All of sudden the xxxx lady showed up at the door yelling at us that you are trespassing. I have never experienced this type of harassment at the checkout.

Very rude staff. I traveled with my 10 year old boy that has a severe kidney disease. I booked a room with the spa and I had to clean it myself before we could use it. They have been very unresponsive in providing backs services. The bedroom was dirty.
There are a lot of beautiful places around Big Bear. This is not one of them. Stay away

I have been an owner for many years. I look forward to my annual summer visits to Lagonita. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The unit is comfortable. I would suggest that you bring a seat cushion for the plastic deck chairs. I have been fortunate to get the same unit each year which feels like a home away from home. The sound of the lake waves is very peaceful and relaxing. Looking forward to next year!

I was pleasantly surprised for the price. They are single story which is a big plus to me. No one above you and no stairs to climb after a full day of skiing. The room is decent size and very clean and nice. The gas fireplace is a great touch. Julie at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. She referred me to the restaurant adjacent to the Inn down near the water and that was also a wonderful experience.
They are very close to Bear Mountain and Snow Summit which worked awesome for this ski trip. I highly recommend The Vintage Lakeside Inn.

Worst place on the mountain to be.They don't care about locals.They don't care about anybody.They will tell you and lie about all of it.Even handicapped, people don't give him money to these people.Worst place on the mountain.Try anywhere else but this place.Be careful where you park.They'll tell you for no reason even if you're handicapped and disabled. I moved it because my disabled.Dad told me to move it closer and the man jumped in front of my car.I didn't run or speed by anybody.I'm legally disabled.I can't move that fast. I have witnesses that saw the whole thing. Told the airline city drove by Elisa 100 cars that were not part. Right, but you guys single me out. It's okay, you asked about me. No one on the mountain would say that. You're just making things up good. Try though. Don't fund this place. Don't give them any money they don't care about locals or disabled people stay safe. These people are liars and they feel they can do what they want whenever they want. You towed a disabled person's car.I hope you feel good about yourself. I have witnesses of the whole thing and this mountain.There's nothing bad about me but good luck out there.Making all that stuff up everyone.The mountain knows that you are not nice and you will do stuff like this. Stay safe everyone and don't go here.

Loved my stay. Terrific location within walking distance of Pine Knot Marina and the Village. Very quiet location. Large room with large bathroom. Huge plus is the in-room microwave. Just FYI, please keep in mind this place is called the VINTAGE Lakeside Lodge, so don't expect a lot of fancy upgrades. Just a nice, relaxing place to stay. Service was A+.

I had an excellent stay at the hotel. It was clean, well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and courteous. The experience was outstanding overall. The hotel is also in a fantastic location. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!
