The lodge and park is a wonderful, beautiful and unique vibe. We had a large party and the service was excellent, the food was great, very thoughtfully prepared not just thrown at you by a frustrated staff like most places. I wanted to thank the chef. the barbeque meals are delicious with large portions, the maple salmon on spinach salad was perfectly prepared and my daughter said the breakfast buffet was amazing. the lodge is clean, comfortable, welcoming and the view is gorgeous. can't wait to go back.

The issues at this place weren’t the fault of our young server, but they could probably improve their training. There were 3-4 tables active in the place the whole time we were there and they just couldn’t seem to serve us to normal standards. The server didn’t know the beer list and asked us to get up and walk across the restaurant to read it ourselves instead of finding out what was on tap, our app came at the same time as mains, beer was served flat, and food was lukewarm (especially bad for the fries). Halfway through the meal, we were handed the bill (we wanted another round of drinks). It’s hard to understand since they weren’t busy at all. The place feels very institutional, like the atmosphere of a dining room at a retirement home, but with a gorgeous view. The food itself was okay. Pulled pork sandwich has been inexplicably reimagined as a pork and brisket sandwich, which muddies the flavor. I took my brisket off and ate it as a side. Corn muffins did not taste made from scratch. There are lots of great restaurants right outside the park in Davis and Thomas. I’d definitely skip this one. 2025 menu attached.

We camped at the state park and had dinner at the Smokehouse. Loved everything about it! The food, atmosphere and our server were all amazing! The views were all breathtaking. We will definitely be back.

The restaurant is really nice with good food and very conveniently located especially if you are staying at the lodge. The views are spectacular with lots of windows to take in the surrounding beauty of the canyon. Our server Caitlin was simply wonderful, thank you Caitlin. We were quite pleased with the each meal we enjoyed there.

This is our favorite of all the state park lodges’ restaurants. They serve alcohol, whereas most don’t and travelers like adult beverages. Food is good too. And the bees are spectacular.

Big open room with windows all around for viewing the grounds. Outdoor seating available. Simple menu, prices not bad for lunch. Sweetest waitress! It is located in the lodge. Looks like a great place to stay. Took a little self guided tour. Nice overlook into the canyon. Clean restrooms, totally accessible.

The whole lodge is beautiful. I didn't stay here, but we stopped to eat after visiting the Blackwater Falls.

The server was great and quick. The food was great, the portions were good for the prices.
