My fiance and I hired The Skagit Table to cater our wedding reception. We had a couple of special dietary restrictions that we wanted to honor. They were completely open to listening to our ideas and the limitations of some of the people that we invited. It was a very small wedding but they came through in a big way. Every dish was absolutely delicious and every guest complimented the food because they enjoyed it so much. I would hire them again if/when I need them. My now husband and I have talked about taking cooking classes and I will absolutely reach out to them to do that when we're ready. I would also go to their restaurant and enjoy a night out with them and their food as well. I don't think I can say enough nice things about this company, the food they create, the people they hired and the service they provide. I will try to come back when I have photos so I can add some images to this review.

Wild rice with salad vinaigrette

Chef Courtney is amazing. Her love of preparing healthy food is only surpassed by her love for people. She perfectly blends her two passions into what is The Skagit Table. You’ll find fresh, local and healthy ingredients in everything they prepare. Everything delicious and beautifully prepared, all conveniently packed ready to go. She takes the hard work out of eating healthy; it really doesn’t get any easier. It’s truly a unique and stand alone food experience.

The Skagit Table has been a life saver ever since they’ve opened. From their detailed ingredient lists and local ingredients I feel so safe eating here. With six people to feed during the busiest time of year usually we start living off of frozen meals or we eat the same meal for days. Courtney makes the most incredible meals that everyone in the family loves. The salads are our favorite and very budget friendly. We usually get a serving size of 3 of an entree and a salad and still have leftovers with our family of six.

Fresh quick lunch spot. My husband and I both got salads and they were both very good. I would definitely go here again and I’m glad Mount Vernon has a place like this. It’s a great idea! No ordering. So on your lunch break you can just run in and grab what you want and run out or stay and relax on their couch, love it.

We're so happy this gem of a place has opened in Mount Vernon. Anytime we're in town, we stop by and purchase a takeout meal to prepare for dinner that evening. Everything we have tried has been delicious. We also ordered their catering for an event we hosted in Woodinville, and all our guests raved about the food. I would highly recommend The Skagit Table. Chef Courtney is the best!!

I was hoping to give a 5 star review to Skagit Table for catering our Christmas Party December 7, 2024. But I can only give it 2 stars. The salmon, rolls, and risotto were good. The roast beef was tough, you could not cut it. The roasted heirloom carrots were raw, you could not put a fork in them. The salad needed more dressing. I had guests asking for more dressing. Only half the lobster soup was delivered, the other half with the lobster in it was left in their kitchen. (The owner did apologize for leaving half the soup in the kitchen and said it won’t happen again and offered a 20% discount on future caterings.)

Skagit Table wants to deliver the food at the exact time of eating, which would have been an hour into the party, which would have been disruptive and awkward for the guests. As the person delivering would have had to weave thru all guests to the kitchen. There was miscommunication in the importance of serving the food as soon as it arrives as it will overcook. The importance of serving the food as soon as it arrives should also be put in their contract. The food was delivered in disposable chafing dishes that didn’t have a water tray underneath to keep the food evenly warm. The sterno fuel can heat was directly under the food tray therefore directing heat to only one spot. Not the experience we expected from Skagit Table……..

The food is great - fresh, quality ingredients, and tasty recipes with a lot of variety to choose from. I love that this is an option - something that tastes and feels like a delicious and healthy home-cooked meal, but that I don't have to make myself.

This place is so wholesome. The food was truly out of this world good. I’m gluten free so it was so nice knowing I could order anything on the menu. They avoid a bunch of things in their cooking. Seed oils being one of them and that made this place all the more attractive. I stayed for hours doing some remote work on their WiFi. They were friendly the whole time. Got myself lunch and dinner by ordering curry butternut squash soup and then fresh veggie and sausage lasagna that had just come out of the oven! Wish gems like this existed in every town. Lucky to have happened on it!
