This venue is amazing! I had my wedding here a little over a year ago. Also, the lady that left a review saying it was "smelly" definitely doesn't know what she's talking about.... She is my aunt and was busy starting fist fights in the parking lot during my wedding. The only thing smelly was her attitude. My husband and I were beyond pleased with May. ❤

The event center is an older building that could use some updates. I had been to this location about 5 years ago. Nothing has changed as far as I can tell. However, they did a wonderful job for a friends wedding recently. Originally, everything was planned to be outdoors. The weather changed to pouring rain. The staff very efficiently and quickly moved everything indoors.

I've known May professionally for some time now, so when the time came to choose a venue for my wedding and reception, there really wasn't any choice but to support her business. May was pleasant to work with and accommodating, the venue was lovely and set up as we asked, there was a roomful of decorations of varying types that we availed ourselves of for the ceremony, the food was fantastic, and the price was right. Thank you, May, for all of your help.

My wife and I just held our dream wedding here, and we owe it all go the owner May! She was an absolute lifesaver and despite the limited number of guests and other restrictions, she was able to give us a magical day, better than we ever thought possible! This woman deserves all your business, so do yourself a a favor and look into the Mayfield Gathering Place for your next event!

Get everything in writing and make sure they don't bleach the fountain right before the event.
