We had a great stay at The Saddlery Madison! The rooms are thoughtfully designed with spacious floor plans that made us feel right at home. The customer service was excellent—friendly, responsive, and always helpful. We also appreciated the secure building access, which added peace of mind during our visit. Best of all, the location is unbeatable—just steps away from everything downtown Madison has to offer. Highly recommend!

Quaint place with nice view. Very clean. Location was good. It was a bit loud and you can hear others above you walk. Not enough shampoo-conditioner and lotion for two. Only one garbage bag available. It would have been helpful to have more of these supplies.

We loved everything about The Saddlery. We rented the 1 BR w/ Den with the lake view and it was perfect for our needs. We made use of the fully equipped kitchen and found the beds to be very comfortable. We hosted a gathering outside of quiet hours and the unit was spacious and perfect. Our guests loved it too!

Cons: The room was not cleaned thoroughly upon our arrival. Dusty windowsill with cobwebs. Dog fur on the pull out sofa. No body wash in the bathroom. And a used hand towel with makeup on it was shoved into a drawer. For the room rate, parking should be covered as well as an easier way to dispose of trash.

Pros: Front desk was responsive. Location was nice. Very beautiful and spacious room. Love the washer/dryer in the room.

I booked a studio with a view of Lake Monona for an extended weekend visit in Madison, it was great. I worked remotely one of the days: very comfortable. Nice little kitchen, close to everything, easy to get to the walking path along the lake. There’s a little gym on site, too, where I used the treadmill and elliptical. When I arrived, I had questions about parking in their lot, and the manager picked up the phone right away. Easy communication. Totally recommend. I would stay again.

As others have said the walls are a little thin but it didn’t really affect our stay at all. They were so helpful and responsive. I loved the idea of being able to go to the guest accommodation area and get what you needed and not have to bother or wait for someone else. It made it very easy. Highly recommend it was extremely clean.

Overall I would stay here again.
Pros:
Rooms were clean, nicely furnished and beds were comfortable.
Amenities were nice (coffee, soaps, laundry detergent, etc)
Location is great, within walking distance of venues and restaurants.
Tvs have roku and were great to sign into to watch streaming.
Perfect view of the lake.
Communication with management was great.

Cons:
The walls are like paper. Walked in to what sounded like someone in the room talking. Turned out to be the next room. Could hear their entire conversation as if they were standing in the room with us.
You can hear walking and footsteps above.
Toilet is insanely loud....like wake up everyone in the vicinity loud. If someone else in in the room with you you can't flush in the middle of the night.
Foot stools in living room had major stains on them and were in need of shampooing.
Couch was not comfortable at all.

First of all, let me state that I would absolutely stay here again. Don't think you can beat the location. I had a two bedroom with a lake view and it was clean, spacious, and beautiful. Walkability to all the things Madison was top notch. I was here with my teenager and her friend. Cost comparison to booking two hotel rooms saved me $300 and we were able to hang out together at least as much as they wanted to, and when they didn't, very easy for us to go our separate ways and meet back up. Was nice to have our own living room and kitchen. Kitchen was well appointed with pans and utensils. It's unlike an Airbnb in that you won't find random kitchen supplies that you may take for granted like aluminum foil, plastic wrap, or anything like that. So make sure you plan on that. Not a problem at all, just FYI.

Only issue to be wary of is that it's an old industrial building which means it looks cool and is spacious, but not built for sound dampening between walls and floors. A group of out until 4am crowd were among our neighbors and we could hear everything when they came home. Luckily they ran out of steam pretty fast.
