Locally sourced food that is actually cooked to order. That being said, it was rather spendy for the special that day ($18.95 for the Stuffed Strawberry Waffle & Sausage). The locally made breakfast sausage from Jim’s Meats made it almost worth it. I was very satisfied with my Corned Beef Hash & Eggs. Fresh milk from Tetzners Dairy! Good service from Patty.

Awesome food. Great service. So cozy and welcoming. Took special attention for my son with allergies. Eggs Benedict was fantastic. Wanted the country fried as well but guess I'll just have to stop again when we come through. Macy was friendly and great with my kids. Overall an absolutely wonderful experience. Will definitely be back.

Great food and great service. The price is close to other restaurants we have visited. Price of products and labor have in increased in all restaurants across the board. Thank you for sourcing from local businesses. I will pay the price for great food.

Fantastic place. Brielle had an outstanding personality and welcomed customer service skills.
Menu had lots of options. We did breakfast. Wife’s special order did not upset them nor did it challenge them as both came to the table at the same time. Plus she ate it all meaning she liked it!
Next time you are on US 2 in Iron Wood, WI stop in and enjoy real customer service in clean dining room and excellent food.

Very accommodating to our big group of 23. We were up riding UTV’s
Prices reflected the local sourced food. Love this!!
Full bar so our group was happy.
I couldn’t believe how fast they had our food ready to go and everything was delicious. My daughter was happy because she could get breakfast at 2 pm 😊
Would highly recommend!!
Only recommendation I would give is it was rather quiet. Some kind of background music would have been a good addition. Thank you so much for your great service!!

The food was delicious. Each person in our party ordered something different & it was all really good. The coffee was the best cup of brewed coffee I’ve had in a long time. And the portions were very generous - most of us couldn’t even finish our meals.

I see a lot of reviews complaining about the price. Being visitors from California, we thought the prices were a really good deal for locally sourced real food ingredients.

The Rustic Roost has been a favorite breakfast stop for my husband and me. We have a cabin nearby so come up frequently and often bring friends. We were glad that new owners took over the restaurant rather than have it close down a couple of years ago. Soon after the new ownership, we were a little surprised by the increased prices, but understood that times are challenging for everyone these days, however, we were shocked that the menu had been updated again in the past month! Prices increased approximately $2.00-3.00 on most menu options. I was looking forward to the full order of 'Biscuits & Gravy with 2 eggs' for $10.00 and was surprised that it now cost $12.95! The real shocker was when the server asked if my husband would like his hash browns loaded and he said yes only to find out on our bill that he was charged an additional $0.95 for each of the 4 items added to his hash browns! Seriously?! An additional $0.95 total for the four additional items might have been reasonable, but nearly $4.00 more for a smallish serving of hash browns was outrageous. Sadly, we may be looking for a different breakfast restaurant, or plan on more cabin cooking. The Rustic Roost owners, cooks and servers are friendly and the food is good. Too bad they are pricing themselves out of the northern Wisconsin market. Why? Greed?

First time here, looked at the menu and almost walked out because the prices are outrageous- but thought if they are that high.. it must be great. To our surprise it's FROZEN unseasoned burgers.. when they call it a bacon cheeseburger that's all you got! No toppings.. nothing. Not to mention the tiny amount of fries you have to pay $4 extra, that doesn't even come with your $20 hamburger.
Clearly the burgers are made only one way... WELL DONE. Do yourself a favor and just go to McDonald's..
We should have been aware that there was only 2 cars in the lot and one was ours..

Go up
