We stayed at the cottage room behind the Parsonage building. Very cozy and accommodating. There were pastries waiting on our arrival and a welcome book with pertinent information. The claw foot tub was a wonderful way to relax with a hot bath after a long week. Perfect location for going to experience downtown Nevada City.

Perfectly situated in Town, and close walking distance to all the best restaurants and quaint boutiques. The property is newly renovated, and gorgeous with chic updated style, beautifully appointed with luxury and comfort for the guests. We were so pleased when we arrived, and so glad that we chose to stay there! We loved the 2 story room that we booked offering the lavish Bedroom with balcony upstairs, and the dining room area downstairs. We can’t say enough great things about this special property, and the most gracious and wonderful Owners. They are truly a class act! We look forward to book there again when we are in Town. We rate the experience the best, all 5 stars!

We had a delightful stay at the Parsonage 1865. It was exceptionally clean and the location within Nevada City is just about perfect. Add in the fact that Bri (the owner) is an excellent communicator and attentive to guests' needs ... well you get the picture. Very likely one of, if not the best lodging option in town. We highly recommend!

We stayed in the cottage behind the main house and absolutely loved it! The kitchenette had everything we needed (even down to the muffins and croissants left for us), the bed and pillows were so comfortable, even the claw foot tub/shower was perfect! I definitely will return!

If you’re looking for a place that perfectly blends historic charm with modern comforts, The Parsonage 1865 in Nevada City is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into a storybook. The home’s gorgeous wood floors and beautifully curated antique touches created an ambiance that was warm and inviting, while the modern amenities ensured we were never without the comforts of home.

Our room was both cozy and luxurious, with natural light flooding in during the day and blackout shades allowing us to sleep in as late as we wanted. The balance between vintage elegance and contemporary functionality is impeccable—proof that this space was designed with thought and care.

Mornings were a dream here. Brianne, our gracious host, went above and beyond by leaving a delightful coffee cake and fresh fruit for us to enjoy. Paired with a latte made from the Café equipment, breakfast was a quiet moment of indulgence. There’s even a seating area out front, perfect for sipping coffee under propane heaters, which made chilly mornings wonderfully cozy.

One of the highlights of staying here was the view. From the front window, we could see down into Nevada City, with passersby often stopping to admire this enchanting home, snapping photos and gazing in awe. It made us feel like we were staying somewhere truly special.

The Parsonage also offers fantastic amenities for hosting gatherings. Whether you’re cooking in the well-equipped kitchen or enjoying the peaceful outdoor spaces, this property is versatile enough to cater to all your needs.

Our visit was a perfect balance of tranquility and charm. If you’re considering a stay in Nevada City, I cannot recommend The Parsonage 1865 enough. This was our 1st visit to Nevada City. The Parsonage 1865 had great reviews so we booked 2 nights. It exceeded our expectations. Super clean, fabulous location and very charming!! Also, Bri is amazing! Making my booking and checking in very easy! I highly recommend and we will stay there again

Nevada City is a quaint little town and The Parsonage is a beautiful Victorian right down town. It's clean, comfortable and perfectly decorated for a relaxing weekend stay. I highly recommend it!

I stayed one night in the cottage. The owners were very helpful and welcoming. They provided everything I needed, and I had a very comfortable stay. Really liked the calm and quiet atmosphere, and that I was also able to walk to the historic district of Nevada City which is only two blocks away. The blueberry muffins in the room were also really good, and sorry if I got any crumbs on the floor. 🙂
