Overall vibe: 4.5/5 - pool area and overall property really nicely put together - beautiful, spacious, great landscaping. Love the pool area and view and pool bar - great cocktails and food from the restaurant (recommend the croquettes and the dates and the jamon tartare)

Massages: 10/5. NADIA!!!! Omg. Nadia. Highly recommend for a deep tissue. She was amazing for my boyfriend- he said best deep tissue he’s ever had
I also recommend Barb for the East west massage!! I would book either of them again!

Room: 3/5. Nice layout. Hard to stay cool bc the bedroom is in the middle between the bathroom (no windows) and the living room (lots of windows). It was pretty dirty and didn’t have hand soap?! But bed was comfortable and overall we would come back

Dog friendly! Our dogs were super happy 🙂

Our stay was lovely and the bungalow was spacious, well decorated and comfortable. The bed was awesome.
But please dear God clean or replace those disgusting carpets. It was such a turn off for me and we skipped a second night for that reason. A full length mirror would be a nice addition to the room.
Lovely grounds and pool area! Such a gorgeous enclave.
Unfortunately the restaurant was closed and pool bar closed at 3pm. Disappointing as that was a main reason we choose this hotel.

Nestled in a quiet Cathedral City neighborhood, The Paloma Resort Hotel is a boutique escape that blends history, charm, and modern comfort. Originally transformed into a hotel in the 1950s, the property was once a beauty retreat owned by the Elizabeth Arden Corporation. This explains the bungalow-style accommodations scattered throughout the resort, offering both privacy and a sense of nostalgia.||||I stayed in one of the beautifully decorated bungalows, and it truly felt like a private oasis. The interiors exude a chic, desert-inspired aesthetic, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. While the resort is smaller in scale, it doesn’t skimp on amenities. From a pool and fitness center to a putting green, pickleball court, and complimentary cruiser bikes, there’s plenty to keep guests entertained. If you like to be a VIP at the pool, the resort’s Citrus Suite, a luxurious poolside cabana, adds a VIP touch for those looking to elevate their stay. ||||Taking one of the complimentary bikes for a ride through the surrounding neighborhood was a highlight—quiet streets, fresh desert air, and scenic views made for a relaxing morning adventure. ||||For those who want easy access to Palm Springs’ vibrant downtown, it’s important to note that The Paloma Resort is about a 14-minute drive away. While not walkable, the serene neighborhood setting makes up for it, providing a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. There is also an onsite restaurant, Sol Y Sombra for those that don’t want to make the drive. ||||Although I didn’t personally experience the on-site spa, other guests raved about their treatments. It’s on my list for the next time I stay. ||||Final Thoughts||||The Paloma Resort Hotel is a perfect blend of history, charm, and modern luxury. Whether you're lounging poolside, exploring the Coachella Valley, or indulging in great food at Sol Y Sombra, this resort offers a boutique experience with all the perks of a larger property. If you’re looking for a quiet, stylish escape in Palm Springs, this hidden gem is well worth considering.

We stayed at the Paloma for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay very much! The rooms were very spacious, big bathrooms with a nice big closet. The bed was hands down one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on. The place was spotless, the pool and lounge chairs were very nice and clean, plus the gym was a nice bonus.

We recommend using the bikes! We biked to downtown (took us about 30 mins) but with the help of Google maps it was a great adventure and saw things we probably would've missed driving, so that was a plus!

We left LA in a hurry due to the recent wildfires. The Paloma came up in my hotel search for the Palm Springs area. What a wonderful place. The rooms and grounds are really beautiful, new, fresh and clean. The pool area is delightful. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, especially during what was a chaotic period. The price was also very reasonable, especially given the quality of the property. I would stay again and recommend to anyone for a visit to PS.

I wish I could say my stay at The Paloma Resort was enjoyable, but it was honestly a nightmare. The biggest issue? The AC barely worked. The room was uncomfortably warm, and despite multiple complaints, nothing was done. We were told maintenance would “look into it,” but no one ever showed up. Sleeping in a hot, stuffy room completely ruined the experience.

On top of that, getting basic necessities like towels and toilet paper was nearly impossible. We had to call the front desk multiple times, and each time, we were either ignored or given empty promises that someone would bring them “soon.” Hours would pass, and still nothing. At one point, we had to go to the front desk in person just to get a single towel.

To make matters worse, when we tried to speak to a manager, we were lied to repeatedly. Every time we asked, we were told the manager was “not available” or “off-site,” even though we later found out they were actually there the whole time. The staff clearly didn’t care and just wanted to avoid dealing with complaints.

For the price they charge, this level of service is completely unacceptable. I would never stay here again and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, hassle-free getaway.

I was excited to stay here but was so disappointed. ||On the plus side, the property is beautiful and in a quiet neighborhood. The location is an easy drive between Indian Wells and Palm Springs made all our plans easy. I never heard other guests while in my room. The grounds are lovely and have lots of fun things to do. When I arrived the staff were in the middle of a difficult conversation with a guest (the police were called) and I thought they were doing their best to communicate with the guest.||As for the room, I was very uncomfortable. The easy fixes would be to change the carpeting. It was very stained, pulling up in places and had dark sticky spots. I wore slippers and skipped using my yoga mat. It was that bad. The bedding is without a blanket, just a sheet and coverlet. I did ask 3 different staff for a blanket but didn't get one. I did get a mattress cover from housekeeping. She was really trying to help. I opened it up in the room and it had a tissue and a capsule in it. The toughest issue (the deal breaker) were the high wall windows/skylights in both rooms. At 6am the entire place was in full daylight. This might not be the case in all the rooms. I took the pictures at night as they are easier to see.

Needed to escape LA for a couple of days & this resort didn't disappoint. it was really nice to be escorted to our room when we checked in as it truly is a maze in there at first! everyone was so nice & friendly. we stayed in the palm desert suite - there was SO MUCH ROOM for the two of us. you could choose to be social & sit on your front porch patio or stay secluded & hang on the back patio. the bed was super comfy but grateful for the extra blanket ('winter' in the desert). agreed that it gets really bright once the sun is up - so bring eye masks if you're bothered by that. the furniture is really nice & comfy too - plenty of seating areas to choose from. the bathroom is massive & the door quietly slides shut - so no waking anyone. the wet bar area was nice to have (the large Keurig was perfect!!) and it also comes with a fridge.|their onsite restaurant is fantastic - sol y sombre. they were super accommodating & we loved everything we had (you need to experience the costillas de cerro sin hueso con cakes de polenta - that flavor bomb is not to be missed for the meat eaters, the croquettes de champion were fantastic as well as the caesar salad & calamardo frito). their drinks were fabulous as well. we had the canary lane & a top shelf margarita.|the poolside menu had quite a bit to offer too. we enjoyed the pan con tomate, burger & yuzu citrus salad the following day. don't forget the passionfruit spritz! the pool was great - open 24 hrs is rare & awesome to have (altho the pumps shut down at 10p) so it was nice to hang in the jacuzzi on the late side. they also offer a pickle ball court, putting greens & I believe bocce ball? there's also bikes to use - which we didn't take advantage of - but next time! perfect stay in cathedral city. we also checked out Alice B for dinner - that was pretty divine. and made a stop at PS Air - fun speakeasy that had a great live show with Dez & Eddie doing all the fun disco hits. |thanks for a great getaway Paloma resort!!
