Stayed in a junior suite with a gulf view. The pool was amazing and the walk to the beach was easy but they have a shuttle that takes you over there. Lance the driver was awesome. stay there for seven days family of six ages 10 to 18. They love the pool lots of places in walking distance if you don’t want to rent a car.

Professionalism, flexibility, property maintenance, and timely response to questions needs improvement.
Our toilet was non functional for 3/7 days of our vacation which meant we had to interrupt the occupants of the master suite to use their bathroom in the middle of the night.
Requested a manager call me. A promise was given of a return call in one hour...there was none.
Requested to be moved to a fully functioning room multiple times and was told they would send maintenance (finally after three nights of no secondary bathroom they were able to clear the blockage)
Requested a partial refund and they weren’t able to do that either. So there was no flexibility on their end yet we were forced to be flexible by having 4 adults 2 children share one functioning bathroom.
Was told it was a no pet facility... there's a huge dog walk sign as you enter the residential part of the resort and dogs are visibly present. Had to board our dog for an additional 300.00.
Check out is at 10:00 and all guests are clamoring for the very few carts available to load luggage. Wasn’t fortunate enough to get a cart so the luggage of 6 people had to be carried by hand to the car whilst wrangling small children.
Food was good. Splash pad and pool were nice. Wouldn't recommend the rooms and we will try another resort next time.

We vacationed here for five days and it was a beautiful resort. The rooms were clean but a little warm, the pool was also clean and spacious, the bar and grill was delicious including their mixed drinks. You really do not have to leave the resort for anything! Thank you to our amazing waitress CHELSEA, who took care of us most of the time we were there. She made our experience even better. I would stay here again.

The room was great ( used a 3rd party for rental). We came here 2 years ago and had such a great time in this beautiful resort. This time was completely different! All the staff we talked to were rude and seemed to be miserable, from front desk to the good vibes bar. The first 2 nights we were here, the police showed up for an altercation at the pool. Some other guests were smoking weed in the room and our room reeked like pot for 4 out of 7 days. We were on the first floor and there was a ton of garbage right outside the balcony that was never picked up. The pools were pretty filthy as there were chunks of hair everywhere around/floating in the pool. Security there was a joke, more worried about having drinks by the pool then anything else like for instance, people smoking weed in the building ( everywhere I went smelled like it, elevator, lobby, pool, bar). The service in the good vibes bar was horrible, over 45 minutes to get our food and appetizer ( came out at the same time). Through the hour we were there, the staff didn't even come to the table except to drop the drinks off, once and then to give us food, then another 15 minute wait to get our bill. Didn't even get a chance to get a refill because she was non existent. This place is beautiful, just very poorly staffed. Unfortunately this was the last time we will stay here at the palms, there are a ton of places that are cheaper with more amenities and I'm sure better guests. This place went down the toilet in the last 2 years but the prices increased ?‍♂️.

Photo was taken from the helicopter tour.

Had a great luncheon for about 50 people at this venue. It was a great experience. Jeremy and Ceaser are great to work with and were on site to handle any questions or concerns I had. The food and setup were fantastic as well. Looking forward to future events here!

I would not recommend the resort for families looking for convenience. We stayed for 6 days at the Palms of Destin resort, booking through compass resorts. We normally stay beach front, however we were okay with this resort since the pool looked amazing and they shuttle you to the beach. Beware on the shuttle, when we took the shuttle, we were taken to a public beach that was about 700sq feet of space, roped off between 2 private beaches. You had hardly any space between people to even set a bag down. We ended up driving to beaches the remainder of the week. The bistro restaurant located in the resort has the worst service. Your order is never ready on time and you never get the food you ordered. Our first night there, we ordered dinner pool side. It was due to be ready at 5:30pm, and when I went to pick it up, it was not there. I waited around for about 15 mins and the bar tender went to check on it. The cook came out and said they were out of BBQ for the nachos and asked if chicken or beef was okay and I said the chicken was fine. I guess they had just started making the food at the point I came to pick it up or bar tender checked on it. When we ate the food, the chicken was hard and rubbery. And we were missing the fries that came with all the meals. Fast forward to Friday, we gave it a second chance and ordered breakfast. If you used the QR code in your room, they're supposed to deliver it to you. We ordered 3 breakfast meals and 3 orange juices. It was due to be delivered at 8:30am, and by 9:10am, we hadn't gotten it. I walked down to see if by chance it was at the pick up station, and it was not. I asked the woman working the omelet bar if she could check on it and she said they made all the deliveries already and just looked at me. I said, well we ordered it around 8 and was due to us at 8:30 and by 9:10 hadn't gotten it, do you know who I check with to get it. She went in the back and came out with a bag. No apology or anything, just handed it to me and walked away. I took it up to the room, and again, none of the sides were with the food. We received the waffle, one very hard pancake, and French toast. None of the orange juices. I would never recommend the restaurant there. The room concerns, the toilet in the master bath barely flushed. The washer was so loud, we would wait to wash clothes when we wouldn't be in the condo it was so loud. Then to dry them took forever, it generally took 3 dry cycles to get them fully dry. 2 would have them feeling damp. The AC does not keep the unit very cool, and that is with keeping the screen door closed. My last issue, there were many carts when we arrived for luggage. When traveling with kids, you generally have quite a bit. So when leaving and checking out, we went to get a cart. Between the cart area infront of the room tower and the garage there were none to be found. We had to try to carry as much as possible in one load, and then one of us stay with the kids and luggage downstairs while the other go back up and get everything else. Making multiple trips up and down getting things to the curb. I understand the hotel can't follow guests to their rooms and things, but they need a fix in place so guests aren't troubled because other guests can't return a cart. They sell you on convenience of the restaurant and shuttle but neither are great and overall more of a hassle. You're better off paying more and staying at the beach front properties.

This was one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever taken. The resort was comfortable and inviting. The pool is amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Every other Friday they do a cajun boil at the Palms bistro. The only possible negative is there is a bit of a walk from the parking garage to the condo; I got used to it quickly enough. Be sure to grab a cart when you're unloading your car; they have designated areas for loading/unloading. Destin is a beautiful place and this resort is worth staying at.
