I wish there was an option for 10 stars! I threw a party yesterday for my daughterā€˜s first birthday and I used Salpino’s to cater and people are still messaging me to rave about the food. The food was absolutely delicious. However, I really need to write this review about the excellent service from start to finish that I received. Giovanni was excellent and never tried to sell me more than I needed. Every time I called the store to either make a change or ask a question every employee was so kind and took the time to get the correct answer for me. The food was delivered early and the driver was exceptional. He was friendly set everything up with ease and speed. I almost want to throw another party so I can use them again and I definitely will in the future. Thank you again Salpino’s for making the party worry free for me and delicious.

For the first easter I decided my daughters family should just cater in Nana would pay. Heard about your store but was never there. Ordered the package with shrimp, stuffed shells, stuffed flank steak, broccoli, potatoes and fruit platter. It was beyond AMAZING and so plentiful, leftovers and take homes for all to enjoy. It will be our go to for all future occasions. Highly highly recommend!!!!

We recently used Salpino's BBQ Catering for my sons bday, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. All the meat (and shrimp skewer) options were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and a real crowd-pleaser. Our guests enjoyed it all! The sides were also a great complement to the main dishes—fresh, tasty, and plentiful!

I didn’t write a review the first time this happened but decided to on the second round.
One guy behind the prepared food counter is not only lazy, but gets your order wrong (that was at the Bellmore location) . I asked him to heat something up, he looked like I asked to cut off his hand. Not only did he heat up the wrong food, it was barely warm. He’s also at the Wantagh location.
In the Wantagh location he completely ignored me as I patiently waited then takes another customer who just walked up. I turned around and left. I picked up a prepared salad which in all fairness is decent aside from the one time it had a hair in it (which I did not call about or leave a review).
The other guy has his back to the counter doing something back there. It’s not that hard to turn around and say someone will be with you in a moment.
Their rice balls have zero flavor, their lasagna is over salted, zucchini sticks were limp and soggy tasting like the freezer and that’s if there is zucchini in the soggy tasteless breading. Chicken salad is like mushy soggy chicken. The food is over rated, over priced, the people obviously suck aside from the girls ringing you up at the end.
Obviously management doesn’t read the reviews because they’re repetitive and the owner must be oblivious.
I’d fire the staff behind the counter especially the little Napoleon with the slicked back hair.
I’ll take my money to Uncle Giuseppeā€˜s.

LAST year, I went to Salpino’s and bought an Italian Easter grain pie. It was very good & very creamy with a lot of grain & ricotta. This year I bought one, costing $25, and it went right into the garbage. It was awlful. It was so thick & pasty & not at all creamy. It was like glue. It did not have enough grain or ricotta in it & it was absolutely tasteless. I couldn’t even get it off the fork that’s how pasty it was. I recommended it to all of my friends and family and had to call them all up and tell them do not go there because the pies were terrible. I was hoping nobody bought them yet because I would have been so embarrassed as I recommended these pies for Easter. Next year, I will go elsewhere.

What happened to this place? I used to love getting pre made dinners. The chicken parm, penne ala vodka and eggplant were amazing! I would also make my own eggplant by buying a few pounds of fried eggplant. I guess it's been a year since I went. Two weeks ago I went to get some chicken cutlets and eggplant. The "eggplant parm" was in a tray arranged in stacks with sauce and cheese. I assumed the stacks were slices of fried eggplant. When I got home I immediately put into one and found out the stacks were actually one thin slice on top of barely cooked sliced that were about an inch think. Absolutely disgusting. These two stacks were nearly 20 dollars in the garbage. It was clearly marked as eggplant parmigiana. It is never cooked this way.its just plain laziness to fry less pieces knowing that in order to fully cook they will be greasy and soggy. This were not soggy as they were raw. Why would they start doing this?

Ordered the family dinner special. Was absolutely fantastic. Choice of salad, pasta and type of sauce and entree. Came with loaf of Italian bread and extra sauce. $42.99. Was plenty for four people. Great deal

I can not Thank Salpino's of Wantagh enough for their help sending an order for a Funeral. I was out of state in Florida and unable to attend. Anna did an unbelievable job assisting me with an order to be sent to the family. She went out of her way making the entire process simple. I am truly grateful for all their efforts. Everything was excellent! The sandwiches were all individually wrapped in paper. The family raved about the freshness and quality. The salads were all amazing. The pastries were beautiful and huge. The delivery was perfect, and the presentation was beyond my expectations. The family was extremely touched and impressed. I highly recommend them. It is wonderful to see a business and employees take pride in caring for their customers treating them like family.
