Exactly what I was looking for. No frills. Basic room with bathroom/shower. Decent bed. Alcohol at the bar. Vintage feeling to the whole place. Andrea is great!

Could stand to come down on the room price. Would stay again.

Stayed here on a recent ski trip to Snowshoe. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The heat worked so well we had to turn on the window AC unit! TV is updated so you can stream from your own services and the wifi worked well.

There are two locations on Google maps for this location, so make sure you check both because the lodge and the restaurant are discussed in both. The hotel was ok but the water pressure was abysmal and we never got hot water. There was enough warm water for one of us to shower but not the other. Upon registration, they make sure you know not to smoke or vape, and have you sign another paper saying you won't do that. It felt like we had done something naughty just for showing up, and it wasn't a warm welcome. Every hotel I've ever stayed in has this policy, so I felt a bit patronized to be told to behave and to sign a paper for it. Aside from this the rooms were fine, just the basics

My husband and I traveled with 2 other couples via motorcycles. We stayed 3 nights. The hotel was our home base after long motorcycle rides. The owners and inn keeper were extremely hospitable and made our stay enjoyable. The rooms are cozy, rustic and clean. Hair dryers are available upon request when checking in. The front porch had plenty of seats for quiet mornings and great evening talks. We had excellent meals, breakfast and dinner, the nights we stayed. We traveled to the New River Gorge which was amazing especially the under the bridge trail and a shopping excursion to Lewisburg. Awesome getaway and will be back for sure!

Hotel has 20 rooms. There is a restaurant and bar. Drive is gravel. In back there is a Pavillion with a stage. Out back are fire pits. There are bands that play on stage. Water is hot, beds are comfortable. The service is very accommodating. This is not a Marriott.
This is really a great motorcycle stay. Owners ride! Sit out under covered porch and relax after a hard days of riding. I recommend this place to stay and eat. Once you arrive after riding you can stay put and not worry about the critters.

My wife and I have stayed here in the past and we looked forward to a 4 night stay in October '23. We just completed our stay and we really enjoyed it. The lodge is located in a great location, if you are looking for outdoor activities.
We used the lodge as a home base for long day hikes in the area.

Andrea at the lodge was great! She helped with everything and did everything around the property. She made us feel welcome. She was great to talk to and gave good suggestions for future hikes. She deserves recognition from the lodge owners as she went above and beyond her duties.

We had dinner every night at the lodge's restaurant (when it was open Thursday-Saturday). Food was great, but it had a very limited menu. The bar also had limited options. We would like to see the menu and bar expanded as it was in the past. The pepperoni roll special was great!

The rooms are on the small side, but are very comfortable and clean. Perfect for what we were looking for.

Compared to our last stay at the lodge, the previous owners were very engaged with the guests and ensured a great stay. Andrea does an amazing job, but it is obvious she is pretty much the only one there.

The lodge could use some help with exterior maintenance / landscaping. The lodge also has great property amenities such as a large covered patio and common areas, but they are not utilized as they were in the past.

This lodge has great potential and could easily be returned to its former glory. To the new owners, please consider some reinvestment into the lodge and the employees.

We stayed the weekend of 5/26/23. The innkeeper is wonderful! She is friendly, welcoming, and gives great service. We had dinner and drinks at the restaurant and it was very good. She made breakfast the next morning for everyone at the lodge including her homemade jam! Our room was very clean and comfortable, we will definitely stay there again!
