The resort and hotel exceeded my expectations. Helpful, patient, and friendly front desk staff when an issue came up (which was my fault). Manager was also a great help and willing to do whatever was necessary to make the stay smooth. The rooms were large and very nice and a pleasure to stay in. I really don’t understand how anyone could say it’s run down? I travel a lot and have a lot of hotels to compare against, and the room was exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed the slopes which stayed open despite the less than favorable weather conditions handed out by Mother Nature that week (great job to the mountain operations for keeping the trails open!). Ski patrol were very friendly and helpful. I will be back as soon as I can be!!!

I went with my bf to celebrate valentines.
Rooms are 1 star. The hallway to rooms smelled like mildew. You can hear the people upstairs moving furniture (if you know what I mean). And then inside the room you can hear people on the hallway. And you can see the ceilings open in the bathroom. The shower head had limescale, water got outside of the tub, tiny shampoo and conditioner bottles, and the sink wasn’t in the bathroom- it was outside of it and had to open a door to open it. Then the TV stand is weirdly placed because the tv is small, why is it put in the middle of the room? It’s inconvenient to watch on the couch and on the bed. And the internet connection sucked. It was so slow. The bed wasn’t clean or has lints of random colored lint

Do not get room on the first floor. Waste of the money! We can’t sleep all night, because of people were passing by and talking so loudly, feels like they in your room with you. Rooms are decent , clean and no problems. But they should notify customers for discomfort they will get in the room on the first floor and definitely not for the full price. I hope this review will help others.

Great location, right at the base of the mountain. We could ski off and leave the skis at the door to go up to our room easily. Very convenient parking. Rooms were just okay, but the view of the mountain was nice. The bathroom needs updating — drop ceilings with water damage everywhere and the shower needs a good scrub! The lodge feels like it’s straight out of the 80s. The hotel breakfast is fine— bagels/toast, juice, coffee, cereal, yogurt— but it’s served in the saddest most dismal room. The food options in the tents (actually a yurt?) was terrible and in the lodge was basic cafeteria food but expensive. Overall a good trip because my son had fun skiing but the lodge was not a highlight of the trip

Went for work conference service was good. Misty does a great job with her water creations. My favorites were the ginger, cucumber, lime & mint and pineapple & lemon😋👍🏽👌🏾

In December my wife and I spent one night at the Lodge at the Wisp. The total room cost for 1 night was $277.00. There were many issues with the room including cleanliness, safety and convenience. In the bathroom, there was a substance on the wall and door that I couldn't identify, there was a black, dirty, mouldy substance on the floor against the wall and bathtub that could have actually needed to be scraped of and brushed hard to remove. There was like a confetti on the carpeted floor that could have been removed if the carpet had been vacuumed, but it was missed. On the safety side, there was a receptacle behind the one mattress that was missing the cover plate. One irritating problem that never got resolved was the tv remote control. It wouldn't work. The batteries were dead. I obtained new batteries from the from desk 3 times and they were all dead. Finally, the lady went and got all the remote controls that she could find and there wasn't one of them that had any fresh batteries in them. By that time, there was no where to go to buy some fresh batteries. This sounds like a small issue, but it really was truly inconvenient. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. We will never stay there again. Any other hotel in Deep Creek would put this room to shame! I have photos of all this but I don't see a place to post photos.

Very accommodating, staff was extremely nice and helpful! The Lodestone golf course was very fun and the back nine holes had beautiful views. I would one hundred percent recommend taking a trip out for a day or two to play lodestone! The hotel is also extremely close to many restaurants!

The main lobby looks nice, but past that it is out dated and grungy. We left and got a refund because the room was so bad.||How bad? The main entry light was falling out of the ceiling. The bathroom light was missing a cover. Water damage on bathroom ceiling tiles and wall without repair. The wall in the main area had active water leaks with bubbles in the paint. A smell of something like mold/mildew pervaded the room. There were dead gnats all over the bedding.||Please save yourself the heartache of trying to find another place at the last minute. It is gross. Do not book here.
