πŸ‘ Reviews of The Inn at Pasatiempo

I was a bit weary on staying here based on some reviews but it all went fine. My compliments to the management as we got stuck at the airport due to arriving late and the rental car agency was closed. Thank you Robert! We called the Inn right away. They did not charge us. We played golf at Pasatiempo. Our room at the inn was clean. It was not crowded while we were there. This is a rustic place and the rooms open to the outside. If you want a 5 star hotel with a spa this is not your place. We appreciated the coffee and danish that were complimentary in the morning. The table is the room is big and fits 2 people great for breakfast in the room. Bed was comfortable too.

Didn't stay there, had dinner, I had the 10 oz. New York steak dinner and my wife had the pork chop.
Both dinners were excellent.
We would definitely eat there again....

The inn hosted a new years event with music. james durbin and lost boys were the band. ||The event was oversubscribed. There was no room. Dancing was impossible. You could only stand and sway to music. Seating was nearly non existent. For what seemed like 500 people, they had about 60 chairs 16 of these were marked reserved for "coach rob". Food was marginal. Lines for drinks were long and staff was not fast. Ordered a soda and they poured a flat soda from a pitcher. On top of no seating, no tables were there for drinks while on the dance floor. Drinks got spilled from being left on the floor. ||We left after the first set after an extremely noisy and unfun new year. Not worth the $90/person paid. Will likely never return. ||The music was good, so giving 2 instead of 1 star.

Bar/restaurant was great. Rooms comfortable, but little spots or stains here, there and everywhere on walls and ceiling. It needed either a intense cleaning or a paint job.

Our stay here has to be one of the worst hotel experiences ever. Unlike the photos lead you to believe, it is run-down, filthy, noisy, and the beds are terribly broken down and uncomfortable. We could hear the conversations of the people in the room adjacent to us with perfect fidelity, plus every toilet flush as if it was in our own room. I accidentally dropped a ring that went under the bed, and when I went to retrieve it I discovered used Solo cups and filth under the bed. The bed was so broken down and caved in, we both woke up with terrible back pain. Our room rate was $435 for one night, and we were so miserable, we got up early to leave and shower elsewhere. I didn't even want to step barefoot in the unsanitary shower in our room because it was covered with brown and pink mold in the grout lines. There are many other hotel options nearby that would be a better experience for less money. Spare your wallet and your sanity, and stay elsewhere.

Great location near the highway, making it easy to reach all the places I wanted to visit during my stay. We discovered a Park and Ride right outside the hotel, which was convenient because we had family staying in various locations. It provided a perfect place to meet up and head to our destinations together. I stayed in a room at the end of the building, so it was very quiet, which I appreciated. However, on the last night of our stay, we heard guests on the other side of the wall, so the room wasn't entirely soundproof. They stayed up late, and we could hear their conversation, but other than that, it was a nice stay

I truly wanted to write the Inn at Pasatiempo a good review but after an extremely frustrating two attempts to get a credit card charge reversed, I want to share my experience.
I booked four rooms at Pasatiempo in early August for members of a Board of Directors which I also sit on. Three of the members stayed at the hotel, one could not due to getting sick and I was charged the cancellation for the first night.

Absolutely no problem. I clearly understand this policy.

One month later I am at another event and taking a look at my Amex App and I see a pending transaction for $430 at Pasatiempo. I call the hotel, speak to Grant, and he basically tells me, "this is an issue on your side, I would suggest you call your credit card company." That was the conversation.

Okay, I am busy and its not like this charge will put me over my limit or anything so I just tag it in my Amex app to make sure I can know if the "pending" transaction goes through.

It does go through.

I call again and speak to a wonderful staff member, Newton, who you know, actually does SOME DUE DILEGENCE, to go through all the charges and she lets me know that one of the rooms was charged twice to another board member, it was then reversed and charged to me. She "fixes" it and charged it to the member that did not pay.

I still have not received the refund, but I do realize these things can take a few days.

The thing that annoys me is not just lack of caring from Grant, it is that no one thought to contact me during this time. Like I had to do all this on my own, even though they had my contact information on the reservation, etc. This is a small hotel, I would think they would. This was a headache and my first call with the staff there was absolutely unproductive.

Proceed with caution.

BEWARE: This was an unpleasant experience. First of all, why would they rent a room right across from the wedding and reception area and not inform someone that an event would be happening there over the entire weekend? ? There was constant noise outside our room. We tried to stay out late on the wedding day and came back in the later evening to pounding music and frantic activities right outside our room. The room itself was inadequate, right next to the vending machines, no side table or lamp on one side of the bed, louver shades that were broken and didn't shut adequately against the glaring lights strung for the event. We put our trash can outside to be emptied and upon our return it was still there, now filled to the brim with alcohol bottles. What an aweful thing to pull on vacation goers hoping for a relaxing weekend. I would never recommend this place. It's also right beside the freeway and you can here the traffic noise from your room. SKIP THIS ONE.
