It was like a sports bar vibe stuffed into a Texas Roudhouse restaurant, but no worries. But the vibe matched the food, which was delicious. Big portions with leftover take-home appeal. Tables inside as well as the patio. Worth it's weight in gold for a good dining experience.

I had a really nice experience here at the horny toad. I visit Cave Creek every so often, but I have never in the past 20 years made the effort to actually go inside this unique venue.

Upon going in, I noticed lots of history as I gazed as people enjoy enjoying their food on the outside patio. The menu is outside the door leading in to theRestaurant. The restaurant itself is very dimly lit with a very nice ambience. It’s very easy to have a conversation with whomever The wait staff were very friendly as Missy was my server and she is very pleasant, knowledgeable, and popular with the customers within this very nice restaurant.

This place is great on everything! Great service, fun atmosphere and really good food!! I had the chicken fried steak and my husband had the slow cooked brisket.
The brisket was very tender and tasty. The chix fried steak was a massive piece of beef with masked potatoes, a tasty cream gravy that was all from scratch! We also ordered the strawberry shortcake that is the best you'll ever find because the cake part is from scratch and just buttery tenderness with fresh strawberries and whip cream.
I highly recommend this place in the adorable town of Cave Creek Arizona!

We were super excited to eat here but…. The patio picnic tables had stain on them that wasn’t dry. It got on my hands and pants. We showed the server, manager came over but did nothing. My lululemon pants are ruined and we didn’t even get a sorry, nothing.

I have eaten twice at the Horny Toad recently. Great atmosphere and decor. Servers have been lovely. Pulled pork was delicious and I enjoyed the prickly pear margarita. Would highly recommend.

Cool location, bar is old and has a lot of character. Food was fresh and flavorful. I loved their pulled pork, it almost tasted like a mixture of a vinegar based sauce with Applewood smoke flavor. Cob salad was super balanced with ingredients and fresh and cold. Large patio area that is dog friendly

Excellent service, atmosphere, drinks, food & dessert! We had a very short wait around 6:00 pm on a Tuesday but it was quick. The carnitas tacos were delicious, the strawberry shortcake is always a must and the drinks were great. Love coming here when we're visiting!
