We had our first dining experience last night at The Gaines Estate and it was wonderful! The atmosphere, service, and food were all amazing. Maggie was our server and she was so polite and attentive. Chef Greg made us the absolute best meal. He came out to check on us to make sure the food was cooked to perfection. We had a great time and will definitely be back soon. I highly recommend everyone to go and check it out. A+++

My husband and I have came here for Valentine’s Day Dinner, and now our anniversary. Both times everything has been amazing. Our last visit, for our anniversary, we sat outside and Maggie was our wonderful server! She kept my water full, my wine glass refilled, and made wonderful recommendations for food and appetizers. There was live music which was pleasant - we had the gnocchi and ribeye. Everything was delicious, my husband said it’s the best steak he’s had, especially with the bourbon sauce! They also valeted us from the parking lot and back which I thought was a nice touch. We had a great time and will be back! Thank you guys for the amazing experience!

How lucky for me that I discovered this absolute gem of a restaurant! From the moment I walked through the door I knew I was in for something special. This historic property is stunning. Cozy bar with the most fantastic Old Fashioned. So good I ordered a second! Kudos to the bartender who knows what she’s doing. Loved my table in a light filled room surrounded by windows overlooking the hillside. Such an elegant space with real candles that made it so cozy. But the highlight was the food. The cranberry candied walnut salad with pomegranate champagne vinaigrette was delicious. Not too sweet. Perfectly balanced flavors. For my entree I couldn’t resist the Southern Burger which comes with a fried green tomato. The little bit of crunch was delicious!! And the white BBQ sauce was amazing. I don’t usually drink coffee after dinner but I’m glad I took the waitress up on her suggestion as it was the best cup of coffee I’ve had in recent memory. Rich and flavorful. Such a treat. Enjoyed getting to meet that owner as well as the talented chef before I left. Wish I lived closer as I would be here frequently but will definitely return next time I’m in the area!!

The Gaines Estate is southern charm right in the center of the mountain state. The beauty of the venue makes it so easy to create the most stunning wedding with minimal need for decorations or extras. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure every detail goes to plan, and the coordinator Ally goes out of her way to make the day perfectly executed and stress free for the bride and family. Each member of the staff is so welcoming and professional. I spent my entire wedding morning relaxing, spending time with my bridal party, and getting ready without concern because the staff was working hard behind the scenes to meet my every need and desire. This is the perfect venue, the total package. Our guests loved having access to the beautiful home during cocktail hour, the reception space was perfect for dinner and dancing, and the stunning property is amazing for vows and photos. If you are considering The Gaines Estate for your wedding, or any event, I highly recommend. The best of the best.

The Gaines estate is a stunning venue and the staff there helped make our wedding dreams come true

From the atmosphere to the food it was perfect. Allyson is the coordinator and she is amazing. She is efficient, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. She is a big reason my wedding day was not stressful at all.

The chefs were very accommodating and the bar tenders and staff were loved by our guests. Thank you so much for helping us such a beautiful and fun wedding!

This place is an absolute gem and it is without a doubt the best food in the area, I wish i lived closer!! The staff and management went over and beyond for us to make sure everything was perfect!! its been a couple days and were still talking about it!!!! We ordered barratta salad, Homemade gnocci and rigatoni with spicy blush sauce with 2 sides and 2 salads. Grounds were impeccable and the inside of the resturant made you feel like you were eating at your families house! I hope i can make it back one day! Thankyou for spectacular dinner!

The Gaines Estate is a lovely gem of a wedding venue in West Virginia. Not your typical barn venue that you find around here (thank the lort!) Lots of space for your guests, beautiful aesthetics for your fab photographer to capture the besstttt angles, and a hella attentive staff to take care of you, your vendors, and your guests. If I was planning a wedding in WV, I'd choose the Gaines Estate as my venue. Also, their wedding coordinator Ali is a rad human and we love working with her!

The Gaines estate is absolutely beautiful! It has so many photogenic spots and is just a hidden gem. The owners are so sweet and the venue coordinator is very talented. We can’t wait to photograph another wedding there and recommend often!!
