I absolutely loved the fat mermaid! We had a long wait time, but it was worth the wait. 'Theo' played live, which was a lovely addition to our seafood dinner. The calamari was great, and hot. Not chewy in the slightest. We ordered their king crab legs, which was a portion so big we barely had room for our entrees.
The king crab legs came with fries, which I think was a bit of overkill, as so did our entrees.
But they were hot, and fresh and the garlic butter dipping sauce they gave us really just made it melt in your mouth.
My halibut was nice and soft but fried perfectly. Their hamburger was good, not much to say about it.
I had a Cesar salad also with the crab legs which was good and nicely dressed.
Overall it was an amazing dinner and I couldn't have had a better pick for our anniversary meal.
We shared a lava cake that came with ice cream and my only complaint was it needed more chocolate sauce!

Highly recommended place in Valdez and it did not disappoint. It was busy but it made for good vibes. Halibut and cod was both incredible. We sat out on the porch and enjoyed some beers and the view! We went for dinner and then came back next day for breakfast. Try their French toast!

Popped in for dinner on a Sunday. The grilled chicken sandwich was ok, just a flat top grilled breast, nothing special. The meat on the cheesesteak and the French dip was amazing! The Harbor Sub was ok, the sauce was overly sweet and bacon tasted like Bacon Bits, portion was also small. Fries were good all around. Service was painfully slow, no drink refills.

This was the best breakfast we have had so far in Alaska. The waitress was super friendly! The food was really good and plentiful. If you like local flavor, go for the breakfast sausage. It’s a really big patty. The coffee was better than anything we got at any of the Princess lodges.
I would recommend this place!

The best oceanfront seafood restaurant in Valdez thanks to the stunning view or you can save a few bucks on tips by picking up the food and eat them from the back of your car as the views in Valdez are wonderbar everywhere you turn. The food are ok compared to the price you pay so don’t have too high expectations. The atmosphere is great as it is almost always crowded in the evenings with live music and what’s special is this is one of the few diner that opens till pretty late.
The service is more than great. I ate here and pick up food from here too. No matter what, i will come back here.

Food was delicious. I had the halibut dinner. I wish the food came out a bit warmer. Service is ok. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was little gnats by the window. After killing them, I was able to enjoy the view peacefully lol. I thought it was adorable to decorate with herbs by their window.

The fish I had was simply fantastic, and I appreciated the opportunity to support local fishermen. Additionally, I tried the Chaga tea and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. After eating here for both breakfast and dinner, we were very impressed. After coming in close to closing time and during the busiest time of the day, the staff still made an effort to seat us and even brought in a table from outside so we could be served. The food was great, and the service was even better. Highly recommend.
