We went to The Essential for brunch, and it was fantastic. It's a small and beautiful restaurant with a modern atmosphere. The service was excellent, and our food was well-prepared and delicious. The grits were amazing, and both the pork and the Reuben were very good. I enjoyed my latte so much that I had to order an additional one. I highly recommend making reservations.

I'm always up for a new restaurant experience so I decided to try this place for my birthday brunch. I didn't make a reservation but when I got there, Brie made sure that I had a great spot at the bar. My server was Campbell and between the two of them, they made sure that I had a great start to my birthday and I am so thankful. I will be returning with my wife as we're always looking for new places to enjoy. Honestly, this may be a new favorite.

Thank For The Great Time!

Absolutely phenomenal! We were in town for the weekend and randomly stopped here for brunch as we walked from our hotel to various points of interest.

The menu is simple, but everything we had was perfectly executed. They clearly chose to focus on quality over quantity, and I think they're doing a great job at it.

I ordered the salmon benedict, and my husband ordered the house hash. The hollandaise was homemade and light as a cloud. I shared some of my hollandaise with my husband, and he loved it, too! The house hash was a generous portion, and our eggs were perfectly runny. They had a full bar, but since we were walking around, I just had a shandy.

I loved their hashbrown round. It was crispy on the outside and almost melt-y in the center. I only wish I'd had room for dessert, they had some interesting dessert options. I'll be back next time I'm in the area, and I'll be telling my friends, too!

The bathrooms were immaculate, and service was 15/10! I forgot my water bottle at the hotel room, and they just kept hydrating me. Amazing brunch ☺️

. First time trying this place and I went during brunch time with a friend. I ordered a grapefruit mimosa $12 & the essential hash $17. Drink was not even half way filled as shown in the video. Food was good but they overloaded the potatoes with onions and by the time I got to the bottom of the dish there were at least 50-100 little pieces of onion still on my plate. I would not recommend going to sit and eat here, server was not knowledgeable and did not know anything about the menu, drinks or anything. Overall experience was a 2 out of 5 stars, I would not go back again for the prices and service. If you are looking to do actual brunch go to Another Broken Egg or Ruby Sunshine, they actually give you a real mimosa an actual full glass. This place is overpriced only because of location.

This is a fun little place, very busy with lots of staff and patrons, and with an open kitchen. The food was excellent and I would be hard-pressed to choose between my wife's Reuben or the eggs Benedict that I ordered as both were very well done and flavored. The Benedict was a bit cooler than I would like, probably because of the smoked salmon that is kept cold. I also had a cold chai, she a cup of coffee and we disagree as to who's was better (I'm sure it was the chai!).

Parking is somewhat difficult. Service was surprisingly friendly.

The service was good, and the employees were very nice.

I ordered pancakes and they were ok. They had a lot of lemon flavor in them, and I am not a fan of that.

There was a long line. We put our name down and checked back 30 minutes later, and they forgot to put us down for a table, so we ended up waiting for a long time.

We mainly went to have a Bloody Mary. The Mary's were terrible. I was happy they offered beer because that's what I moved to after.

The eggs Benedict were amazing. Matcha tea is the best in town. If you think the food is good, the service is awesome as well. The bartender was very attentive and he really gave good food suggestions that were spot on.

This was my second time visiting The Essential and they didn't disappoint! They have some of the most unique food I've ever tasted. They have some very talented chefs because every dish is not only cooked perfectly and looks beautiful but the flavors are out of this world!
