The Draft House & Lodge - 3 Stars

The Draft House & Lodge has some good food, but there are a few things to keep in mind. The service is slower than you’d find in the city, but it’s pretty standard for the area. During my visit, the waitress mentioned a beer they didn’t have in stock, and the fritters special that caught my eye was also unavailable. They did have one burger special left, which I was able to order, but it’s not uncommon for them to be out of certain items. While the food itself is enjoyable, the limited availability and slower pace can be a bit of a drawback. If you’re willing to be flexible, it’s still worth a stop.

Even if you have been starving and are coming off a 40 day fast do not bother with this place. I confirmed they were open and would be able to order and sit and eat. He said the bar was open and I could sit there. When I got there the waiter was apologetic but said I would not be able to eat there and they had the food in a to go container. Problem was I was walking in the rain waiting for a ride.this is the third time this business has not lived up to their posted hours. On top of this the cool could t have even followed the instructions on the box of Mac and cheese and made a watery slurry with steak bites in it. But hey it was $29. I would highly suggest The Cave instead but they are closed on Mondays. Why do inhospitable people own hospitality businesses Horrendous? Oh that is just a start.

I honestly wish this place would get its act together and be a consistent experience. The soups are amazing and the food is usually good but the time it takes to get food is hit or miss and today was a total miss. Service is either great or terrible, lunch is usually better than dinner. Today it was an hour to get the sandwich special with the soup. We end up getting our food to go so we could actually eat our lunch. We were told things weren’t prepped and the kitchen was crazy. It was noon when we ordered. I honestly think it was a kitchen problem but they need to get things figured out. It was a sandwich and a bowl of soup. It should not take an hour. It makes a good server look bad when it takes so long to get food.

Visiting from out of state and will definitely be coming back next time we’re in town. The staff was friendly and the food great. Beautiful atmosphere. I like that we don’t have to wait to be seated. And when we sat down our server came quickly.

Convenient location and excellent food. Excellent customer service. We will eat here every time we come to delta junction. Definitely the best food we’ve had in Alaska. We need something like this in Fairbanks!!!

We ordered the d burgers they came without the onlons or tomatoes, . When we asked for them while our food was geting cold. Had to ask twice. Took 20 minutes to get them. What a shame. Place was clean and well lit.

Stopped here for lunch with a large group for a rearranged meal. They were totally unready even though we were late, giving them extra time to prepare. Food was served cold, and service was incredibly slow.

My wife and I got chicken tenders here. We ate locals. Love the people here but don’t get tenders. Right out of the bag and made us both sick. So sad as we do support the new management and staff.
