Just had the most epic adventure on the Dolly Steamboat at Canyon Lake! 🚢🏞️

Our crew (Melissa, Jo, Gary, and I) embarked on an incredible 1.5-hour scenic cruise that was totally worth the scenic drive from Gilbert. Pro tip: The mountain roads are totally paved and gorgeous - don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

Check-in was a breeze, but fair warning: marina bathrooms are… let’s just say “rustic”. Definitely snag those reservations ahead of time! We dressed comfortably in flannels and jeans, which was perfect for the slightly breezy day.

Wildlife spotting was UNREAL - we saw adorable baby bighorn sheep and majestic eagles soaring overhead. Nature’s entertainment at its finest! 🐏🦅

Quick traveler notes:
• Cash is king (though they do have a $20 minimum for credit card purchases)
• Bring some snacks and drinks
• Plan to grab lunch in Apache Junction or Tortilla Flats afterward

Such a fun boat ride. We did the morning ride. It was a bit cold but it was beautiful. We got to see mountain goats , bold eagles and other wildlife. The views were amazing

Me and my son did the Twilight Dinner Cruise, and we loved it. The boat ride was so smooth that it felt like we were still docked. The captain was very informative and humorous, two traits every Captain should know and have. The scenery was breathtaking around each bend. The eyes and senses had a feast. The food was very good and decent sized portions. I'm glad to finally have fulfilled one more thing on my to-do list.

What a great dinner boat tour! The drive to the boat is beautiful. Do plan on slow traffic, and give yourself enough time to get there. We had our family Christmas party on Dolly the Steamboat, dinner cruise. It was so relaxing, the two hour trip was the perfect amount of time, the food and portions were good and the service was outstanding. The kids and elders alike enjoyed the cruise. Afterwards, all of our family told me how much they loved the experience. I really recommend this cruise.

A wonderful steamboat tour and dinner. When you first look at the lake, you wonder. Where are we going for an hour and a 1/2? It's so small. Don't be fooled. The arms of the lake reach out to a total of 28 miles in circumference. The crew was wonderful and the food was quite good.
