I decided to stop by the Daily Grind on a whim.

I got the Volcano and a Vietnamese Latte. The food and drinks were hot and flavorful.

Has a small town cafe atmosphere. I really enjoyed it here. Would be a good place to take a date for a breakfast.

Note: Parking is tight so get here early (before 0900 on Sunday)

First timer here and had a good experience. While parking lot was not that spacious but we managed to get one.

We sat outside and it was a great outdoor vibe for brunch. Good service and friendly server/staffs.

Food came great on steak omelette, Philly steak, breakfast burritos, Nutella waffle. All the steak meat was juicy and well-seasoned. Coffee was good too. Loved all the food we ordered, but if anything to improve on food, I’d say they should make the coating of chicken fried steak thicker and crunchier.

For service, I think all good except maybe they should put condiments tray (salt, pepper, sugar, jam, sauce etc) by default, customers shouldn’t be requesting it.

Will come back for sure.

When I need to meet a friend for brunch, I always bring them here. This small business has the kindest staff! And their food is delicious! My friend today loved her coffee and waffles with whipped cream and strawberries, and I loved my tea and my usual meal: omelette with spinach, mushrooms and cheese! There are many tables indoor and outdoor. Very clean. Highly recommend!

Love love this place! Been coming here for a few months now. We usually get the same server and she has made such an effort to know how we like our coffee to the point that she already knows when she sees us. love outdoor seating and the indoor vibes with all the plants and homey feel. The food is really good too. Very home cooking like but better hahaha.

Very nice waiters, definitely conscious about my nut allergy. The food was delicious and delivered in a reasonable time. This is a very cute café to work or bring a loved one. Prices are decent. We ordered the chilaquiles with chicken, the biscuit meal, and a mocha coffee. It is all highly recommended. We will definitely come again.

I came here with a friend who was visiting from Houston. It was a sunny morning so we were in a good mood and there was a lot of parking. The diner itself is cozy and clean, and the sun streams in nicely. We both ended up getting the garden omelette which was soft and really well cooked, all the vegetables in it were also delicious. The hostess and waitress were also incredibly nice.

The continental breakfast was so delicious with fresh fruits 😋 🤤. I really enjoyed my morning Chai Latte. The atmosphere of the cafe is warm and welcoming. Customer service is 10/10. The price is reasonable and I highly recommend this cafe, If you are anywhere close to SDSU.

Excellent service, our food came out so fast especially for a Sunday brunch. Lovely to sit in the sun and enjoy the best Eggs Benedict we’ve found in San Diego. Definitely our new brunch spot. Thank you!
