If it wasn't the best bbq I've ever had, it was definitely in the top 3. Pulled pork and ribs were absolutely phenomenal. They were both so juicy and tender. I got the pork plate with Mac and cheese and corn nuggets. I always get Mac and cheese at bbq places and most of the time I'm disappointed. Not here. It was creamy, and had a delicious peppery taste. The corn nuggets were sweet and breaded. Never had anything like it and I loved them.
Ribs were fall off the bone, cooked to perfection.
Really wish this place wasn't 5+ hours from where I live because I would LOVE to come back at some point.
Server was very nice and friendly!
Overall one of the best restaurants I've ever been to.
Even the Texas toast had an amazing taste to it.

Fabulose brisket, cut with a fork, melts in your mouth. Very good cole slaw, great sides. Ribs were large and meaty. Overall, great place for BBQ and all that that goes with it.

The BBQ and service are outstanding. The chicken has great smoke flavor. The sides are basic, but the chicken makes up for it.

It does house a barroom with pool tables. The entire place has a very strong cigarette smell. Take note, if this is a concern for you. The restroom is adequate.

This is a very old BBQ house. In business, at least 40 years in the same depot out of town and roadside.
The food was fairly good. BBQ Pork was good, Brunswick Stew was fair.
The atmosphere is quaint.
This is a stop at least once just to say you've been here. If you like it, stop again.
Staff is very casual, to the point I had to get up to ask for more tea.

Menu has a good assortment.

We have always enjoyed eating here on our way to Montgomery when we bowl Brisket is to die for it melts in your mouth. That was not the case today. It was so dry and tough it took holding it with two hands to try and take a bite of and even the it was a struggle. Almost like a piece of shoe letter. Maybe today was an off day but it will be awhile before we stop in again.

If you're driving through Alabama and you're thinking about stopping for food, stop thinking and stop at the BBQ House. Can't decide on a menu item? Pick at random and enjoy. My fiance got the rib plate and I got the cat fish. The fish is flaky, crisp and seasoned just right. Corn nuggets are fantastic. The ribs are smoky, falling off the bone and melt in your mouth. Them beans though... some of the best mac and cheese I've had at a bbq joint. So yeah, the answer is yes to BBQ House.

First of I didn't think you could smoke in a restaurant any more the building smelled like smoke and mold ( people were smokin inside) That said the pork was very bland no flavor , no sauce no coleslaw nothing. The brisket was flavorless and dry . The French fries were hot at least very expensive for what you get a sandwich fries and bottle drink for $13
