This is a John Radebold Property that recently sold to a new owner. I was instructed that you can enter the main communal area and kitchen by pressing any number on the key pad and turning the handle; be careful if Jim Baxter; who is a drunk who tried to fight me. (I am a 107lb asian woman). My friend Abdul is a very welcoming host when he's not at the USPS working; he owns and runs the local homeless shelter (which is located right here). Valentina Fischer has prisoners on property and is located in the small trailer on the other property; back behind the shelter. It also houses another larger trailer. I visit the large trailer to make sure that person is still alive on occasion. Thank you!

I read a review on TA from a person who had a bad experience at one hotel so went down the road to the Ta-Tel Lodge, which they gave a glowing review. Really Glowing! OMG- their previous experience must have been horrendous.||We stayed at the Ta-Tel Lodge on 2 very hot summer days. I was dismayed to find that there was no air conditioner. Only a ceiling fan. We were told to just open a window. When I did so, there was toilet paper stuck in the screen to block a hole. In addition the traffic noise was so loud throughout both our nights there that we got very little sleep. The traffic noise was so bad that keeping a window open was not an option. The second night was better because we bought ear plugs. While the room was generally clean, there was a spider in the shower & stains on the bedspread. Scary! Don't even think there might be a little continental breakfast. There isn't even a coffee pot in the room! Even though the price was low ($90's before tax) it really should have been in the $40 range. Better yet, don't waste your hard earned dollars on this place with the empty pool & what looks like permanent tenants.

I stayed for several months and was very pleased with it. Owners are great, it's kept very clean, micro and nice-size fridge/freezer in the room, nice comfortable bed. Room decorated in rustic style. Several restaurants and grocery store nearby. Near the stat park and beach. I would definitely stay there again.
