The guesthouse is located outside of town. The common area included a full kitchen, large dining table, and comfortable lounging areas. There is laundry facilities inside on the main floor. The private rooms are spacious with 2 twin beds that can be made into a king bed, a small armoire, chair, and nightstand. There are 2 private baths on each floor. Very warm and we coming atmosphere. Parking is minimal. There are only 9 rooms so as long as there is only 1 vehicle per room everyone has a parking space. Each night we were there all 9 rooms were booked.

Stayed here for several nights. Excellent place! Very clean. Nearby city center. Good wifi. Huge living area for chill and enjoy some coffee!||We booked the air tour, however it was cancelled due to bad weather. So did a train/boat tour instead. Will come again for sure!

This was a great place to spend the night in Talkeetna. Quiet, super clean, well stocked kitchen, full laundry, comfortable common areas, comfortable beds/pillows. And a generator, which was handy when the whole town was without power for about 7 hours.

Nice gem located in a quiet place. Loved the kitchen with snacks, eggs, coffee and utensils needed to assemble a quick breakfast. Rooms were clean . Staff was amazing , we got locked out of our room by mistake at midnight and they were so courteous to help us out quickly. They also have board games for you to play and have a great time! In September we also saw some glimpses of northern lights from the parking lot. Recommend this place for a comfortable stay.

Stayed here after trying to climb Denali. Really appreciated being able to dry out my gear on the porch. Quiet homy feel. Nice walk through the woods to town.

This place is essentially a hostel, and not a fun one either. It was 150 a night and i booked it without realizing what the situation was. Paper thin walls and two bathrooms per floor which you share with probably 15 other people. The rooms are TINY. the bed is uncomfortable. There are so many rules you must follow. No eating in bed. No shoes in the room (seriously?) No running in the hall (I wasn't going to do it, but come on). If i was with a whole group of people maybe this place would make sense. But for the same price as a normal hotel I'd never book this place again.

Perfect set up for our family - 2 kids age 8/10 and my MIL. Stayed in room #8 and #9 so we had one private bathroom. The common bathrooms were clean and would be fine to use, the towels were good quality.|The rooms were great, had luggage racks, armoire, mini blinds that kept them dark (we still wore our sleep masks out of habit and they have sleep masks and earplugs in the nightstand. The beds were comfortable, the pillows and linens were good. |The common area is comfortable and has to, Hanes, etc.|The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and cooking supplies, even food the pantry like ramen, rice, oatmeal. Chance provides fresh eggs too!|The laundry room was so convenient with soap included in the $2 was and $1.75 dryer fee with a coin jar right there to get change from. |Location was good, easy walk to town, other attractions like K2 flights. |Chance was able to pick us up from the train depot and drop us off at Mahay’s to catch the bus and was even kind enough to help us with our luggage and give us a drive through your if downtown with good recs.|We didn’t interact with the other guests much due to covid, however everyone we did see was friendly and followed the rules. |Overall highly recommend the Talkeetna Hideaway - clean, comfortable, great amenities with kitchen/laundry, convenient location, and very kind owner.
